Both Parents & Society Are Responsible !

Hey Everyone, I hope you are all fine and doing great. This post is my entry for the weekly featured content in the #Hivelearners community. Today's topic to write about is Whose Fault Is It?

Today's topic is a sensitive one, and if I say that this topic, in some way or another, affects every household, it wouldn't be wrong. In our society, there are good people as well as bad ones. We appreciate the good people, and we criticize the bad ones. But have we ever thought about why these bad people became bad? Why did they choose to live their life this way?

Who is to blame for these people turning bad? Have we ever thought about it? In my opinion, the blame lies partly with the parents, society, and the community around them. I will explain this further in my article.

The most important people in our lives are our parents. When we come into this world and become aware, the first people we see are our parents. It is often said that your parents are your first school, and if the education you receive in this first school is not right, then as you grow up, you're likely to turn out bad. The consequences of this won’t just affect your household but will impact society as a whole.

I want to share a true incident about my family. My two cousins, who are around 10-12 years old, have gone astray due to the unhealthy environment at home. Because of this poor environment, they started spending time outside, and the surroundings of their home were not good either. One of the boys has become addicted to drugs, and the other also does not associate with good people. They have deteriorated to such an extent that we cannot even think of correcting them.

What happened here is that, first, the parents did not provide a good environment for the children, and later, when they turned to society, they didn’t encounter good people there either, and as a result, they kept going astray.

"I have seen more examples like this, where children go astray due to the lack of attention from their parents. They end up getting involved in wrong activities in society, which leads to further deterioration in society and an increase in crime rates.

I request all parents to pay close attention to the upbringing of their children during their early years. This is the time when their mindset develops and their perspective towards society is formed."

In reality, there are people who should not have children if they are not prepared or have the necessary tools to educate them. That is a great responsibility, because it depends on them to give them tools to be citizens who contribute to society, builders of the future. I come from a very poor area, surrounded by crime, drugs and very dark characters. And I have learned to be a good man, and to deal with them, earning their respect, without offending them or applauding what they do (in fact they know that I am against their way of life, we have talked many times about this, but It's a topic for another post).

The point here is that speaking in the right way to your children and to anyone in general, you achieve things, but you have to know how to do it.

Drug addicts (I have worked with them for many years, giving them support through NGOs) must be treated with empathy, and talk a lot with them, becoming their friend. The same thing happens with children, only with them it is more difficult, you have to make them understand that parents are not their friends, but that they are people they can trust, and who will always maintain their role as parents, as guides. ..because if they see them as "friends", the relationship goes in the wrong direction in my experience.
