Today's topic is very important, and it is impacting our lives in one way or another. Let me share my story with you. I completed my higher qualification in 2015, and after that, I applied for jobs at various places, but I couldn't find any. Then, I came across the concept of online earning through social media. At that time, it wasn't very popular, and not many people knew about it. In my search for opportunities, I discovered Steem/Hive.
I was very frustrated because I couldn’t find a job, and it was understandable to be frustrated because I was the eldest son in my family, which meant I had more responsibilities. Amid all this, I started earning from Steem, and I realized that we could monetize our blogs. When someone voted for our post, we would earn money from it.
I still hadn’t found a job, but now I had started earning a little. I began paying for my mother's medicines and the electricity bill, which, in a way, was a relief for me, as I was able to support my family.
If social media monetization hadn’t existed, I probably wouldn’t have been able to earn during that difficult time when I really needed it.
I know that many people misuse social media monetization, and there is abuse and spam happening, but I also know that because of this, many people are earning for their families, and a lot of young people are using this opportunity correctly.

I forgot to tell you something. Between 2019 and 2021, I started my scholarship through the Axie Infinity game, and I had over 100 people playing it for me. This was during the COVID period, when our physical lives had almost come to an end. Physical jobs were no longer available, and that’s when online earning platforms gained traction. People were working from home, supporting their families. If these social media monetization platforms hadn’t existed, then, just imagine how difficult it would have been.
