At the beginning of the 19th century, during the reign of Guba khan Sheykhalikhan (1791-1810), a group of families moved from the village of Gonagkend, which could not stand his oppression, and a village of the same name was established in Shamakhi, on the banks of the Pirsaat River.
If you go to the village in May-June, you will see such beauties. The road to the village passes through the Jabani plateau. When you go through Jabani, you will inevitably remember the beginning of the 16th century - the famous "Jabani" battle between the Shirvanshahs and the Safavids. Shamakhi smells of history from beginning to end 💚 "Are these places coming and going?" Of course not. Because there is no recreation center, kebab eating places😀 But one day people will leave these thoughts and go only in the name of beauty, in the name of seeing the Pirsaat river bed and in the name of feeling history.
P.S. One of the main projects for a long time is to connect the Gonagkendi area of Guba and the Gizmeydan area of Shamakhi by road. Let's hope it ends soon, inshaAllah.
