The Final task for the newbies initiative.
I was already getting mad at myself for not recording my reputation and the number of followers I had before joining the initiative, but then, I remembered that we had written an application letter even before the first task was given. The number of followers I had wasn't recorded though but my hive reputation was recorded. I'm glad to have been a part of this initiative.
How it has been beneficial.
There are lots of newbies who have joined hive with no knowledge of what the blockchain is all about, I'm certain that the initiative has been a source of encouragement and a means of acquiring more knowledge. There are times when there may be no motivation but being a part of this initiative I'm sure gave every participant a sense of responsibility and commitment.
How it has helped me.
The initiative has helped me connect with more users on hive, and through the initiative, I met awesome writers who are very creative. One thing about me is that when I see something good, I challenge myself to be better, it is a healthy kind of challenge because, at the end of it all, I would only record improvements. The newbies initiative has also helped me gain more knowledge about the blockchain. There were a few things I knew before joining, however with the help of the initiative, I learned more things like how to get different fonts for a post, more markdowns, and how to use them. While I was doing task 6, I was able to learn more about blockchain games and Nft. Attempting the task with the research I did help me understand these things better and I got a bit of exposure, all thanks to being committed.
What improvements are needed?
One thing that is constant in life is change and a few changes and upgrades would have to be made to help the newbie's initiative perform better. However, from when I joined, till now, I can't point out what needs improvement yet because everything seems fine now and the team is doing a great job. The discord channel is being handled well, and the crews who make sure to do a tutorial post before a task is given are also doing a wonderful job too.
Recounting my goals.
Yes, I remember the task one initiative where I was asked to set down my goals for the next 3 months, and here is my recount.
I had said that my goals are to achieve at least 500 HP and to have gained up to 200 followers.
Above was my Hp at the time I had this goal set. Today, this is my current Hp.
Judging from the application post that I had written, my reputation and hive power are below. This is just to show my growth so far which I am happy about.
Today, my current hive reputation is 63 and my followers are 126. I may not have gotten up to 200 but it's amazing to see that I could get this number.
This post completes the tasks for the newbies initiative program for me and a few others who had joined. It has been an incredible ride that I have enjoyed and my gratitude once again goes to the team and all of us who joined the initiative, making it possible. Thank you.
