RE: THE VOID OF A PARENT’S ABSENCE

Hey there, Hopey. I agree with you that it is “ideal” to have both hands on deck. When it comes to parenting, the importance of teamwork cannot be overemphasized. However, this doesn't mean a single parent cannot make things work.

Your dad is a very good example. Kudos to him for raising wonderful kids. Even though he struggled, he managed to raise responsible kids. Some kids who grew up with both parents are not even as responsible as you guys are.

So, as long as the present parent play their roles well, things will go well.
