This has been one of my favorite dishes over here in Akwaibom but to be sincere I do get scared of preparing it.
I guess its time to follow your procedures and try it out.

Yeah, there's no harm in trying.
You can easily get the Afang leaf at the market and have them grind it for you, and the waterleaf can also be sliced for you.

All you would need to do when you get home is to wash the leave and cook but you would still need to cut the periwinkle yourself, at least the prep stress would be reduced.
