I've hardly used government services since I was born. Okay let me rephrase this statement, I've hardly used a government service at will since I was born. The only government service I can think about always using is electricity. And if not that i can't afford to pay for private electricity at the moment, I would have definitely found an alternative to it because truth be told it sucks. At the moment the electricity production has increased significantly in some states in Nigeria, and increased a bit in other states, but the overall electricity power production is still epileptic and very unreliable as a lot of other government services. The fact that there is always a struggle when it comes to receiving government services shows how poorly it is managed which reminds me of an old pidgin proverb I use to hear when I was younger; “Dem no dey carry government work for head”. This simply implies that government jobs are not taken seriously.

One of the very bad memories I had in a government hospital was seeing how nurses care less about the patients they are supposed to be attending to, some will even result in insulting patients in agony. One time I remember seeing three nurses insulting a pregnant woman in labour even as she groaned in her agony. The government schools are not any different, seeing how teachers treat their jobs and the students. If you're looking for the highest form of child abuse, you will see it in a government school because it's as though they are accountable to no one thus everyone with a little power is a demi god waiting to execute vengeance or should I say throw their weights around. What would you expect from a country whose leaders do not abide by the law. I remember the time I went to a public school, I can count how many of my teachers came to school in a term and how many actually taught us.
This is the reason why an intelligent student in a private school is nowhere near an intelligent student from a public school and at the same time majority of the students from public schools are actually learned because the truth is they were never taught in the first place. If you eventually come across an intelligent student in a public school, know that they did 10 times the work through lots of disciplines. The only people who would enjoy the government sector are the civil servants. 80% of them don't work, they just show up on occasions and collect salaries at the end of the month since there is little or no supervision in their line of work. And as much as this looks juicy, it's not something I would ever wish to do. I feel such a level of freedom is unhealthy to say the least.

The first time I entered a private hospital, I was impressed by the orderliness and the vibe to work from everyone. This is because they know they have to earn every penny they make and anything they have to do is monitored and accounted for one way or another. The only issue I have with the private sector is that it is expensive, but I mean I can't blame them, it's just business. They don't have access to funds as the government does and must even pay tax at the end of the day, so it's only right they consider these things in their pricing. If I can go to the hospital and feel like a king, why wouldn't I? But then again, most private sectors can not afford to pay their workers well, and 95% of those working in the private sector are just looking to survive.

I still love government school because there was discipline during my own time ,don't compare it to what children do in private schools this days, parents carrying cane to flog a teacher in a private school for correcting her child, that parent won't dare it in government school. It's not as bad a people paint it
Private sectors be it Education or Health are always intentional with giving their best, Public sector on the other hand provides quality too but too many unserious workers there just waiting for their pay time
