The rise of the water after the sail is extinguished

For this week's Author of the week's nominations, we begin with this science experiment @castri-ja had with his cousin. This is an experiment that doesn't require any chemical component but can be done with basic things like candles, water, coloring etc and yet teaches us important lessons like the best way to extinguish fire (maybe in the kitchen) is by isolating the fire from oxygen.

Happiness is not so difficult to find

@intishar talks about happiness and how being satisfied with what we have leads to true happiness. He also goes further to list out some things that help someone be happy, things like good mental health and of course, money.

Utopia, Hell, Criminals, Police, Immigrants and a safe nights sleep

@terganftp shared his beautiful post with us. He told us about how his place was both an enjoyable place to be and somewhere to be scared of. So many factors made it worth living in and so many factors made it hell. It's up to the residents to decide how they perceive it.

The importance of internships and voluntary work in science

In this post, @gwajnberg talks about his first job. He tells us about how he went to a place for an internship and how that experience helped to shape his academic and professional career. He also went through various jobs over the years that were instrumental in making him who he is today.

Congratulations to all the users who were nominated for the weekly authors and best of luck to all. Fortunately, I can see my name also there and it's very inspiring to me. (Best of luck to me also😎).
Thanks for the inspiration.

congratz to everybody. oh boy this was a tough one to choose. All the posts were great in their own way lol if i can vote i would just vote for all.

There was one post that stood out to me the most and it was the sharing a sort of science experiment which is something i normally don't see on hive which is why I'm going to vote for this as it was a bit outside the box from what I've seen on Hive so I will be voting for this post.

The authors were great. We had one explain their thoughts on happiness and he talked about how it was easy for him and how in life we have a balance between happiness and sadness that goes in cycles. It is true since there has to be a balance in life. We have positve and negative, light and dark etc.

There was another one that gave a lot of detailed facts on crime in Canada. This was also a great post with a lot of information in regards to this topic and I think it's a good read if you're someone that is looking to live in Canada and wanna know what the crime there is like.

Lastly we got a post sharing experience working first job as intern for science. I also like this post because he does mention how we should volunteer at NGOS. I think it's important to give back to the community and I'm glad that the author also takes part in doing this. It shouldn't only be for getting to know the industry but we should do it to help make the world a better place.

You all did great sorry I can't vote for all ; ;

Congratulations to the winners of the last poll, @ iska and shawnft. 🎉🥳

This week nominations are quite interesting posts as usual, starting from the science experiment author, finding happiness, the criminal rate post, and the first job/internship experience..

These authors shared amazing contents full of knowledge for readers to consume. I must admit that indecision took over me for a while on whom to vote for..lolz. However, my vote goes to Intishar with a post on happiness. I really like his lifestyle of finding happiness from the little things. The Author made me to understand that dreaming big is nice but he keeps his expectations low all the time and thus, it helps him to easily remain happy, this is a nice lifestyle to really adopt , it's a good lesson learnt from him and this my vote to the author.

Thank you!

First of all, I would like to congratulate every user who got nominated to become an author of the week. I have voted for @gwajnberg, for his amazing post about the internship, no doubt internship is important and needed because it teaches us practical work and professionalism. Good luck everyone.

Congratulations to the winners and congratulations again to these norminees.

The judges did a great job choosing these great contents.
But since I must choose one, I voted for @intishar because I can relate very well with what he wrote on Happiness.

He drew a balance between happiness and sadness. It is comforting to read that moments of happiness are good enough to give us the strength needed to endure moments of sadness. I have always been someone of positive mindset, the post outlined mental stability and a feeling of contentment as what can help us maintain our happiness inspite of sad situations. In a nutshell, he taught that if we count our blessings, we will not be overwhelmed by sadness. That is enough to make my day.😅

However, I appreciate all the writers. The one about internship was amazing too, volunteering to help teach poor students without pay. But I really needed to chose just one post to vote.

Thank you for inspiring and I feel very good to know that you can relate to my content and I think it's a success for me. I feel honored to hear those sweet words from you.

Sure, I can relate to it a lot. I had some setbacks lately that left me emotionally and mentality exhausted but I am telling you that counting my blessings helped me survive . So truly, reflecting on moments of happiness can help us cope when sadness set in. And being positive that hard times doesn't last but there are better days ahead helped me too. They are just what you reiterated . Thank you

An honour to be in this select group of nominees in my first foray into the community. Thanks @kronias.

I hope to be able to write on Sunday two experiments in one post with water/oil and dye which are very colourful to explain hydrophobicity.

Good luck to @intishar, @terganftp and @gwajnberg.

Regards.

Congratulations, excellent content, good luck for all, and keep the good working, to more and more posts!

Congratulations to @shawnnft

For this week, it was really complex and draining to vote for the best author as Al the authors have remarkable writing styles and above all, their post was very much educative and interesting.

I came to the conclusion to vote for @terganftp because of the way he wrote.

He started the post with goodies about Canada, he told us about the way police can be depended on, unlike my country. Being a student nurse who hopes to trave to Canada after my school, he passed valuable information to me and this information will help me in the nearest future in actualize my dreams.

He talked about he immigration the rate of criminology and lots more.

I really enjoyed the post, because it was not only interesting, but educated me about how to plan and achieve my dreams.

Thanks man . a lot of great posts. Great vote for Tergan!

Good luck on becoming a nurse and a Canadian. My wife is a renal nurse and nursing clinical instructor. Great choice with lots of immigration prospects, lots of jobs and great pay. If you have any questions let me know. Can't guarantee I know the answers but always willing to help if I can

Thanks a lot sir

Ugh... Sir.

Next Canadian lesson.

Most Canadians prefer to be called by their first name. I'm Jason 😉

Of course check first but Canada is informal country (mostly).... I know it's weird if you are from Nigeria ... it's a Canada thing 😉

 last year

Okay Jason. Would it be convenient for you to give me your social media so I can ask all my questions?

 last year

Email is my preferred. Discord a second. I'm not really on other social media platforms. For the nursing side of things my wife is big on Facebook. She might be a better resource depending on the question.

I voted for the article: The importance of internships and voluntary work in science

Why?
I like the subject he's touching on. The importance of doing internships, student jobs and even trying out voluntary work to find out what you like in life. As someone who didn't know what to study and switched after two years to another field to end up in a totally different job, I think it's very important to try out different kinds of work to get to know yourself better so you can find something that you truely like.

Congrats to the other nominees aswell as all the articles were well-written and a joy to read!

All the content generated by competitors is great, but I felt represented by @gwajnberg's post, in the part where he talks about internships and how it helps us grow as professionals.

Even with some difficulties presented, he ran after what he liked and did not give up. I've already experienced something very similar when I was a student/intern.
