Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 150, Edition 01 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week which is “JUST ANOTHER TRADER”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “NO PHONES ALLOWED”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their opinions on students being allowed to make use of their smartphones while in school. From using it to research answers to using it during exams and whatnot, we got to see how many members got to embrace the idea.
For many, it was a no-go area. The school was a sacred ground and phones shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near it, and as a result, students shouldn’t be allowed to own it. However, some believed that phones were a necessary evil and with time, it would become more mainstream. It’s a conclusion that can’t be avoided.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w149e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.
Featured Contents
EDUCATION SYSTEM NEEDS A CHANGE BEFORE ALLOWING SMARTPHONES IN SCHOOL by @intishar
This author told us that while it was perfectly fine for students to own phones, it wasn’t okay that they brought it with them into the learning environment. The system was just not designed to be circumvented with a phone. If such a thing is going to happen, then a total revamp of the system would be needed.
HOW FAR CAN TECHNOLOGY IMPACT STUDENT LIVES? by @xlety
For this author, she struggled to see a positive side to having students make use of their phones while in school. It would be a tremendous loss is such a practice is implemented and seeing how dependent people can be on their phones, it could only end up making things worse for the students in the long run.
For this author, he shared his experience with using phones in schools and advised that in the long run, it didn’t matter the policies that were passed or the rules that were made, students would only do what they wanted. Students who wanted to really learn and excel would do it, whether or not they had a phone with them.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (@melinda010100) ] and 1 $PANDAMINER each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.
But then, we have some honorable mentions which are listed below:
