So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our first topic for this week which is “WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING?”

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “THE BAD LOAN”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about the time they took a loan that turned out to be a terrible experience for them. It led to so much unpleasantness that it made them swear off loans from then on.

We got to see the different reasons people take loans, why some can’t avoid it, and also the lengths the loan companies go to get their money back. It’s usually unethical and they tend to be overly aggressive. Hence the dislike for them. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w111e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.

This author told us about the menace of credit cards and how it made his life hell, due to exorbitant interests that had been on the loan. Buying on credit to pay later turned out to be a bad idea, and it’s something that he’ll never attempt again.

GONE NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN by @shawnnft

For this author, he told us about how he loaned his money to a friend and he ended up getting ghosted. This was obviously a misjudgment on his part because he had believed that the friend was trustworthy. Sadly, this affected the way he viewed loans in general and made him skeptical about borrowing anyone else anything.

REPEATING A FATHER’S MISTAKE @kilvnrex

This author shared with us how taking of loans affected his father due to how many of them his father had taken. And now, as an adult, he has found himself taking loans as well, although it was born out of necessity seeing as he had no other choice.
