Happy new week to my bloggers and hive learners, in todays article I want to talk about plagiarism. Am going to give the meaning of plagiarism, types of plagiarism, how to stay away from plagiarism and more
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism can be defined as the act or process of copying and using someone's image, text, content etc without letting them know. This means using any work or posting any work been done by someone without letting the owner of the original content know is called plagiarism.
There are many types of plagiarism, but here am going to list and break them down as much as I can to our understanding.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
Complete plagiarism: This is the act or process of copying the complete work of someone and making use of it.
Accidental plagiarism: This is the process of mistakenly adding or using someone work unknowingly(by accident).
Direct Plagiarism: This type of plagiarism deals with the copying of work directly from the source.
Paraphrasing plagiarism: This is the process of copying someone's work, then breaking it down directly to your own words, claiming it to be your's.
Now how do we check if our work is a plagiarized one?
We have many applications and software used to check if a work was completely, directly, accidentally plagiarism or paraphrased.
We have applications like:
Plagiarism checker, small_seo_tools plagiarism checker, plagiarism detection, check plagiarism etc.
We also have some free websites to check for plagiarism, websites like Grammarly, small SEO tool, pre-postSEO, copy leaks etc.
Plagiarism can also be checked by copying the line of sentences or copying the link to that image, paste it on Google search tool, search for it and wait for the results.

Citing a quote on hive is just a simple thing, all you just need to do is to use the RIGHT ANGLE BRACKET ">" then your quote
eg >this is a quote
Then to cite an image or adding an image source, you need the image and it's link
After adding your image use the square bracket [] and the round bracket () to cite an image.
STEP
Attach your image, followed by a square bracket [] with a text written inside the square bracket, something like image source, source of image etc. Then followed by a round bracket with your image Link inside it.
Any thing written inside the square bracket will be the physical link while the image link is to be attached behind it with the round bracket.
Eg Your imageimage src"
