Good evening friends, recently I have not been able to post because of the university evaluations, several of them have been added, especially those related to the subject of statistics, and although it was not easy, I managed to overcome those difficulties and pass the evaluations. On the other hand, today's topic is about work, I will tell you how I have done in my case, but I don't have much work experience either.
My best job
I'll start by talking about my best job, which I've already quit, but it's worth mentioning. My best job was as a museum guide in my hometown. I was alternating between two museums that today represent a historical heritage because of all the events that took place there, I am talking about the museum "Congreso de Angostura" and the museum "Manuel Piar".
For almost a year I worked in those two museums, mainly in the first one. My duty was to give tours and help in any other task I was asked to do, but normally I was attending to the public. This job, although very important, since it involves the history of the country, is not very well paid. In the beginning I loved giving the tours and I was constantly preparing myself to keep expanding my knowledge.

I used to read 50 pages of history books in the museum library every day to keep my memory fresh. The pay was not enough for much, if I put together a month's salary, it was not enough to buy medicine or food. It was like pocket money to be used only for transportation. As time went by, the job became less and less pleasant as the museum facilities were not cleaned as they should be.
The maintenance arrangements were poor, so to keep the place from looking so bad, I started to clean the floor and other parts of the museum on my own. This was the job of other workers, but I was embarrassed when visitors came and saw everything dirty.
When I was about to turn one year old, I decided to quit, I didn't like the work environment anymore and I felt I wasn't learning anything. I was grateful for the experience, but I didn't want to continue working in a place where I wasn't comfortable and didn't feel like I was doing anything productive.
My worst job
My worst job was actually a test to get into a store. It's a store owned by some Asians and to be honest, it wasn't very pleasant. They have a very severe work culture, I must admit that they work without any rest and they expect to apply the same method on people from other cultures. I remember I was the gate watchman, I stood from morning till dusk checking who was coming in and who was going out. All day I only had one 15-minute break, which was to eat and relieve myself.
When the business closed, the work was not finished, I had to help other workers with the organization of the products for tomorrow. Before leaving, they checked my clothes, pants, shirt, shoes. I had to undress and stay in my underwear because they don't have much confidence in their workers. This is a routine protocol of their business and they always do it after closing.
I was promised that the pay would be good, about $40 a month to start and they could increase my salary if I showed good performance. The pay looked juicy and the possibility of upgrading made it even more attractive. After hanging out with my new coworkers, I didn't give voice to my thoughts, but I had already concluded that I wouldn't take it.
The check and review at the end was strong, but the reason I didn't take the job is because they set too strict a schedule. I would be working almost non-stop 7 days a week. That would not allow me to have time for anything else and at the same time, it would affect my health. Spending long hours on my feet affects my blood circulation.
My time, my health, was not worth $40, it was worth more than that. If I don't have my health, how am I going to work later?

Anyway, I was grateful to have the opportunity to live that experience. It made me realize that even the simplest job can be complicated.
Conclusion
Both jobs made me grow as a person, but in a completely different way. The first one gave me work experience in the field I am familiar with, tourism. I studied a career related to tourism and that's why I started there. Meanwhile, the second job gave me a new vision of those jobs that don't require a degree, but can be just as challenging for whoever decides to take them. The perspectives are different, but enriching and I am grateful to have experienced both sides of the coin.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read.
I hope you liked it.

The $40 isn't really worth it I guess. But the main lesson is at least, you learned something that will make you grow.
Certainly, it was worth that offer despite the amount of money. In my country that amount is enough for most, but if then your health deteriorates, the money earned would be spent on medicines, it would not make sense.

Imagine working 24/7 without a rest for 365 days, that's suicidal friend. Am happy you let the job go. Then the whole search before you leave the premises after work.
Some employers are not considerate at all
Well, the encouraging thing the=e you learned some things and can apply it to other aspect of your life.
Right, you don't have to rush and you should measure the pros and cons of each job. Determining if it is safe for our health is also important.
I am glad that you have already gone away to that worst job. $40 is not enough and it seems they just exploiting their workers.
Agree with you, my friend, that is taking advantage of the workers.
I hope you're fine now

I wonder how people will expect others to do the very thing they cannot attempt. How will you expect someone to work without rest? When it is not a robot you are dealing with. That just goes to how much the employers are only interested in making money.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
You are absolutely right, friend, but there are some work models that are very dangerous to health and use them normally. Personally, I prefer to earn less and take more care of my health. Sorry if I did not answer before, the university has had me overwhelmed, as are the latest evaluations, they require more caution because they have a greater value.
