A perfect day means different things to different people. Just as what constitutes happiness varies, what makes a day perfect also varies. However, one common denominator is the ability to derive satisfaction from the activities that one engages in during the day.
What I have come to understand is that it is easier to experience a perfect day as a kid than as an adult. I remember the days that waking up to meet my favorite meal during my childhood made the day absolutely perfect. I can say that eating my favorite food dictated my happiness during that period. But as adulthood came, it came with attendant challenges beyond just deriving perfectness in a day for eating one's favorite meal.
A perfect day for me is one in which I can keep myself out of the pressure of working and facing the accompanying stress. To balance my day as a perfect one, I remove work and financial burdens and replace them with relaxation and enjoyment with my loved ones.
I am the kind of person who has a plan for the next 24 hours of the day. I have scheduled time to read, sleep, blog, eat, and do other things. Just yesterday, I was telling my wife that I wish a day could be more than 24 hours. I mean, 24 hours is becoming inadequate for me to face my tasks. Attending to family, work, and studies in addition to blogging is a task, but it's something that I need to do.
If I can get a perfect day, it will be a day that I have nothing to worry about. A day that I would wake up anytime that my body felt like rising and not forcing myself to wake up with an alarm. This would be followed by eating my favorite breakfast, taking a bath, and returning to sleep. If there is anything that energizes and replenishes my soul, it is morning sleep. I sleep between the hours of 8 and 10 a.m. Any day I do that, the remaining hours of the day will be awesomely fascinating.
After waking up, I would have more solid foods (carbohydrates) like pounded yam and egusi soup. I would eat to satisfaction before turning to the television to watch movies and some news channels.
In the evening, I will take a walk around my street, visiting some friends in their shops. In the process, I will visit a restaurant to eat grilled catfish and a favorite drink. I will sure not be alone on such an outing. My wife and son will follow suit.
I will return home happily fulfilled.
The next thing is to engage with my phone for a few hours, having some drinks beside me as I navigate through my gadget to make posts and read national and global news. Watching a few comedy skits would sure light up my evening.
I will retire to bed afterwards and sleep like a baby. My day won't be perfect enough without money to answer any financial demand that comes my way from within and without. Nothing gives me joy like solving people's financial challenges as much as I am willing to. I derive happiness and satisfaction from doing so. Having money to make use of on such a day will make it perfect beyond anyone's imagination.
I just want to live the day without engaging my brain in the different levels of thinking that I always engage in.
Hhehe, there is nothing more perfect than what you described. That sleep aspects, gosh. I am already imagining it. It's not only you that wish a day is more than 24hours o. This life is just so full of activities.
You are right. Many activities are competing for the limited time available. At the end, we will do our possible bits and leave the rest.
Honestly, the stress that comes with working is one that is very difficult to endure. Except the stress, other things like boss troubles and colleagues troubles is something that is very difficult to cope with. A day without all these will be a perfect day yaknow.
Thank you for sharing
The stress is unquantifiable. Physical and mental stress. Having a break from them will surely make a day awesomely great.
Honestly. But it seems like this is just a imagination that may never come true. Life of an adult.
Well, we keep surviving
I agree. It's more of an imagination. The time that it can possibly be experienced is at retirement if everything fall in its proper place.
True.
We just have to work harder
I like the sound of your perfect day. It's the grilled fish for me😅😅, count me in!
I bet your kids and your wife would be so happy sharing this perfect day with you. At the end of the day, we feel happy when our loved ones are happy, especially if we have something to do with it.
Nice one.

Oooh yes. The joy that comes with making ones loved ones happy is unquantifiable. One of my best moments in life.
Perfect day, hm!
For me, it's a day I just don't have anything to do but just sleep, wake, eat and sleep again, haha
That's it. You will set yourself to recoup the lost energies.
Why do I feel as though you read my mind. Earnestly, 24hrs isn't enough. There are times I wish I could just pause the time and work but hell no! The most important thing is to attend to what matters first.
Scale of preference.... That's the way out. When I can't solve A-Z problems, I prioritize the ones that are most important.
Perfect day means different things to different people and you have beautifully explained yours. Cheers!
Popped in from Dreemport, always an awesome #dreemerforlife.
Yea... It's fulfilling for an individual to experience whatever it is that he recognizes as a perfect day.
You only live once, at least free yourself from all the stress of the country. #dreemerforlife
Sounds like a perfect day indeed, life shouldn't be stressful abeg.

Aaah... a mental health break day. Sounds glorious! I have so much to do that I could never be bored. I am another one who feels like the day should be at least 28 hours long so that I can get to everything that I want to do each day and not have to choose what to leave out 😂

Exactly my thought for wishing to have a day of more than 24 hours. Thank you for stopping by.
