Theres this country people won't stop talking about, have never been there before, but people won't just stop talking about it and relocating there on the slightest opportunity. The country is Canada. With the situation of things in my own country presently, people just travel there on a daily basis, they say its more better than here, I don’t think a day goes by without someone mentioning that “I just need to japa”(japa in a Nigerian slang for traveling out of the country). I have seen, read, and watch also and I can say Canada is one of those places that feels like a dream. The roads are smooth, the power supply doesn’t blink, and the economy is way better. You work and see the result in your bank account, unlike here.
Of the things that fascinates me, is that you can do multiple work in a day or week and the fact that they pay by the hour. Imagine getting paid for every single hour you work. Here, they just rant about dedication and hard work while your salary remains same and small, even if you put in extra effort. But over there in Canada, if you work more, you earn more, is that not fair, unlike here. Over there, even students can take up part-time jobs and make enough to support themselves. Here, we work to just survive, there you work to live.
Also, over there, theres no need for that much of a connection unlike here, the country functions well, here you must know somebody who knows somebody, its not like that there. There, you just apply for something, and if you meet the requirements, you get it. Thet also have good benefits and all, there are health and certain other bills that you won't need to bother about, your work benefits covers it. Some things amazes me, the buses or trains, how they arrive on time and you just know what time to what time, smiles, its not like that here.
Also, there's security. There are cctv's at every road, street and corner. You can walk home at night without fear of your bag being snatched. Canada is one of the safest countries in the world, with low crime rates compared to what is here. The police do their jobs, not just stand on the road waiting to collect “something for the weekend. if anything happens, there’s a system in place to find out what went wrong. That peace of mind alone is priceless.
Also, the roads, no potholes big enough to swallow your car. There are no roads that turn into rivers when it rains. And also, people actually obey traffic rules, no reckless driving, theres both order and sanity. And their public transport is clean and efficient.
Also, Canada is multicultural. People from all walks of life live there,/Africans, Asians, Europeans and all. You walk the street and hear different accents, smell different dishes, see people from different backgrounds coexisting/living peacefully. And also, they are one of the countries that embraces diversity, they celebrate people, festivals, cultural events and all, just a very welcoming country.
But the weather, its not for the weak, but also there are things well put in place for that too, there are well-insulated houses and all.
And Canadians know how to enjoy life. What I love most, is that they(canada)value skills. Whether you’re into tech, healthcare, business, agriculture....just name it, there’s room for you to grow. They have strong policies that support workers, fair wages, and benefits that actually mean something. Their education system is top-notch. There you don't just make a living, theres room for you to build a life.
So, dont even ask me if I would I relocate there if I had the chance, smiles, without even giving it a second thought, I will. Somewhere that works, somewhere where I don't have to pray for electricity ( even as I write now, the light has came and gone up to like 5times) so what is actually here? I need to go somewhere I can plan my future without worrying about a system that refuses to grow with its people. It’s no surprise that almost everyone wants to move there. Theres opportunities and theres safety there. Just sponsor me, I will make the best use of it.

Make I reach there first.
Funny, abi na.
Thanks for stopping by bro.
Japa is very real oooo, the rubbish we all are enduring in Nigeria is just too overwhelming. If one have the opportunity, I don't advice anyone to take it for granted at all. Canada is like a second home to Nigerians, it's a very nice place to plan one's life and give it a better meaning
Thanks for getting my point and agreeing with me, Canada had become a beacon of hope for many Nigerians who seek a better life.
Thanks for stopping by.
