In the modern world, cellphones have ingrained themselves into our daily lives, and we frequently struggle to put them away when handling crucial tasks. Even so, there is no denying that technology has benefited humanity greatly and has also brought forth issues that we currently confront in our various families and societies. The majority of the time, we let our smartphones control us instead of the other way around. As the saying goes, "There is time for everything," so it is critical to understand when to unplug from our phones in order to focus on the things that really count.
Since spending quality time with our families is one of the most important things we can do, using a smartphone while spending time with them should be avoided. Most of us are guilty of using our phones for one or two purposes during family get-togethers. Some of us may be checking on various notifications or attending to business-related matters, and before we realize it, our minds are diverted from the activities taking place in the gathering.
Family time is the time when we should be building stronger bonds with one another. Restricting smartphone use helps us do this by allowing us to give our full attention to the conversation and by allowing us to make enduring memories like going on an adventure or sharing stories. When spending time with our families, some people may want to snap pictures with their phones, but even without phones, we can still make sincere memories.
I am also a phone addict, and I am also guilty of using my phone during an important time in my family, and at the end of everything, I will end up not understanding the majority of the things that were done, and I will also miss out on some fun discussions because I was carried away with what I was doing on my phone, but as time went on, I had to limit the way I connect with my phone during family time, I joined them to laugh and also join them In whatever they are doing, I understand the importance of spending quality time with my family. Unlike when I see them laughing, I will laugh along with them so that I will not stand out, even if I have no idea why they are laughing. It is funny.
Even if we want to use our phones after an adventure, we should wait until after everything is finished, such as when we want to take group photos and document the tranquility of the surroundings.
The use of a phone during the process will cause distractions, so it is best avoided.
So,when the time comes, I would love to build a family of my own and will do everything in my power to teach my children the value of spending time together without using a phone. After all, it bothers me greatly when I am doing something crucial and someone else is using a phone without paying full attention. I believe that creating enjoyable memories with my family will improve our relationships and promote each other's mental well-being.
