The only truth we know without anyone telling us is that hate is one of the things we get without us asking for it. It's simple for someone you don't even know to just hate you. Hate is hate, be it spoiling one's name in public, saying ill things behind your back, or just trying to sabotage one's business or career.
The truth is that hate comes in different ways. I have a friend who sells skin care products on Instagram, and there is this one person who is always criticizing her products. Her comments always discourage new shoppers who visit her page.
Her sales were turning bad, and her reputation was at stake; that was when she came up to defend her brand, asking the lady to provide evidence and threaten to press a lawsuit. Something like that is not something that anyone should just ignore; it's necessary to follow it legally because reputation is number thing as far as anything is concerned.
Another instance I witnessed is two guys working at restaurants; ingredients started missing, and the culprit always tainted it on the new worker. It continued until the company installed CCTV cameras secretly, and he was caught. In this case, is the victim not supposed to sue her coworker for character defamation?
It is important because it deserves legal treatment. But when it's just some hatred bred out of jealousy and doesn't have any bad input, looking away is just the solution. Some people just love to be noticed; some even go only to drag others just to trend.
So legal action is necessary when one's reputation is tampered with. when one is using hateful words that are causing another emotional stress, when hatred becomes harassment, and threat. All these are what taking legal action won't hurt because many people can't stop until you take it up in a serious way that is above them.
Although that's the best option, it comes with stress too. You need to invest money and energy. It is better to weigh the situation and know which is the best option.
Different ways to settle hate than going legally
If it is attention based, it is better to act like you don't exist; the person will eventually get tired one day.
Another thing is confronting the person if it's something you can't let go. Confront and find out why and warn the person.
If it is online, the best way is to block and report the account. With that, you won't see any of the hate speeches.
Lastly, if it is a hate that doesn't even pull a hair off your head, the best option is to ignore it, but if it is a hate that has the ability to damage reputation, career, emotional stress, or business, using any method that would help to put an end to it isn't a bad choice. Every situation comes with different weight, and it is always necessary to know when to take up a fight and when to let things slide.

Hate is hate no matter how big or small it is but letting go some hate that are of jealousy is the goal.
We don't have to take legal actions about all.
Thanks for sharing
Some of this hatred is just something I can't explain. Why they do it or what they intend to gain.
If I were the worker who was accused, I would sue the person. It wickedness. I can't imagine.
