Just imagine! Part of the reason they keep avoiding practical teaching is prolly because of poor infrastructures and lack of resources. Another issue that needs redress.

This is somewhat true. I could remember when we were taught spectroscopy, the lecturer took us to the school's research lab and showed us several spectroscopic equipment. They were all working fine. We were ushered into the little lab in batches, shown each equipment by name, allowed to snap their pictures. That was how the class ended. In the exam, we were asked to describe the mode of operation of those equipment and even draw them. Crazy! Just crazy!!

A lot of our PhD holder lecturers out there can't handle the littlest of equipment, they weren't taught. How will they teach us when they don't know it? They can't give what they do not have.
