Sometimes, I sit back and think of how the world works back then during the trade by barter era, how difficult it must have been to weigh and give value accordingly without being cheated from both ends (exchangers). Imagine now that people get too greedy with their prices not minding customer care service just because they want to gain more than their supposed profits.
I've had a lot of encounters with traders, both the good and the ones I wish I didn't stop by their shops or trade to patronize. I'm the kind of customer that is easily satisfied with trade transactions so I can easily run from the trader that tries to give me a hard. I'm also in the category of customers that don't like negotiating prices for too long, I mostly just trust and buy.
Because of this, you can't say I've mostly been cheated since I don't always price much, I would say, I get lucky most of the time. And that is only because I meet amazing traders who know what they are in the market for, not just to make profits but also to put a good image out there. Would you believe me if I say I've met a trader in a big market place that till today, whenever we cross paths, we are like very close family friends.
There's big joy in meeting a friend in a trader for the first time, you two just vibe so well, nobody was cheated and the trader goes home with his or her profit while the buyer goes home feeling happy for the good buy. For sometime now, I've been categorizing stuffs I buy into "Good buys" and "Wrong buys", the ratio is higher on the good buys that I've bought and I am happy about.
One of my good buys was from a trader who owns this small corner shop in one of our main market place. How I stopped to buy from a shop like that is still a beautiful story to tell. She had been seeing me pass by, always smiling to me but I didn't have any reason to stop by since she didn't have what I needed to buy at that time. Well, the chance came for me to patronize her.
This woman didn't only sell at fair prices for me with beautiful smiles, she also gave me a place to seat while she shared really lovely stories I would have never known about those products I bought from her. The things I bought were much, she took her time to package everything well for a comfortable ride back home and since then, I don't even think much before I go patronize her.
My worst customer experience was the one time I stopped by an wholesale store, I still don't know why I decided to buy from there. What could have been a few minutes thing turned into more than an hour of waiting and doing almost nothing. They had a lot of customers but they also have a lot of workers to speed up the sales but they had this very nasty attitude towards everything.
I can't even explain how annoying it got for me as I kept waiting for each of my buy order to be brought out, up to the time of payment that they didn't let me go until they saw the alert but I had to remind them every single time to check again if the alert has arrived. I didn't visit much shops that day but I was very tired when I got home just thinking of my experience at that store.

Some of the traders are nice some are really annoying. It has become a normal thing. But it doesn't take anything away from them to be nice.

It is really hard for them to do but either directly or indirectly, they pay for it.

We have some traders who are so full of themselves and never care about there customers need but care about there profits. Some traders lack this understanding that the way they treat there customers who patronize them will determine whether the customers will come back or not.
Very true, we just hope to mostly meet the wise and nice traders.
So the smile of the lady was the thing that attracted you and then her kind attitude and honest prices made you her permanent customer. I wonder what you bought from that store?
Oh she sells food provisions like noodles, beverages and stuffs like that. And I bought a few of all of them from her.
