Once, right at the time of the pandemic, before I met Hive, I decided that I wanted to have an Instagram page to provide me with some extra income or even a new profession. The problem was that I had no idea how to achieve this and no knowledge of social media. I was just an ordinary user and rarely active. How could I achieve this? Well, with effort.
I decided I wanted to do it and I went for it. I spent several weeks studying and analyzing other pages, observing how they made it work. I talked to people who knew about the subject and ran tests. When I thought I had enough knowledge to start, I didn't know what niche I should work in. It had to be something I mastered, but I also wanted to create content that I could relate to and enjoy. That's when I decided to talk about survivalism.
It was a great choice. The pandemic was happening, and talking about survivalism would fit like a glove for the moment everyone was living through. At the time, I didn't think much about how it made sense, but it was still something that could work. Even though I had studied it, I still didn't know how it all worked, how the algorithm could benefit me, and I did test after test until I found an ideal model. It was interesting, it took a long time, but after a while my page started to make progress and I was beginning to master it.
I created communities on other social networks, other pages and a visual identity that was crucial for growth. People loved the page, and it was growing more and more. It reached 10,000 followers organically in about 8 months and, after a while, the first opportunities arose. I did some advertising on my page for business owners in this niche and my page became one of the largest in Brazil (apart from the pages of famous people in the niche).
After a while, I had a creative block that made me stop the page, and it's been maybe 3 or 4 years since I posted anything on it. Even so, I can see that it continues to grow just with the content I've done in the past. Foi interessante, demorou muito, mas, depois de um tempo, minha página começou a ter progresso e eu estava começando a dominar aquilo.
Criei comunidades em outras redes sociais, criei outras páginas e uma identidade visual que foi determinante para o crescimento. As pessoas adoravam a página, e ela estava crescendo cada vez mais. Chegou a 10 mil seguidores de forma orgânica em mais ou menos 8 meses e, depois de um tempo, surgiram as primeiras oportunidades. Ano passado, um dos organizadores do Largados e Pelados Brasil entrou em contato comigo para participar do programa, do qual precisei recusar por conta de assuntos profissionais que estava vivendo naquela época. Mas, enfim, veja só quantas portas foram abertas apenas com esforço constante naquela época.
Eu me lembro que criei uma rotina metódica de criar conteúdos e, às vezes, era exaustivo. Era necessário fazer muitas pesquisas, era realmente um esforço diário e um comprometimento contínuo. Por fim, deixei a página de lado para cumprir outros objetivos da minha vida, mas foi uma experiência incrível. Tudo isso baseado na constância e, principalmente, no esforço.
