Hello Wanderers! 👋 How are you all doing? I hope everyone is still and doing great. It’s been a while since my last blog update, and I truly missed sharing stories with you! So very busy from life lately, since it's back to school after a long Christmas break. There have been so many overlapping activities that I barely had time to take a break. Thankfully, everything has finally started to slow down, giving me some time to reflect and share new adventures with you.
The CNDAA (Central National District Athletic Association) was a three days activity. The event brought together passion, determination, and camaraderie in a showcase of talent and sportsmanship. This three-day affair left all the athletes and teachers inspired and energized.
The first day began with a grand opening ceremony filled with excitement and energy. Teams from across the district came together, proudly representing their schools. The event started with a parade of athletes, each team marching in sync and carrying colorful banners that showed their spirit.
After the parade, we arrived at the venue for the opening program and stayed in line as the event continued. Each school took turns performing their dancing saludo and yell, and the energy was giving. Everyone was so hyped and excited, with athletes giving their absolute best. The performances were vibrant and full of spirit, setting the tone for the rest of the activities. Even during the salute and yell, the athletes showed incredible enthusiasm and determination to stand out.
After all the activities for the opening program, we were informed that we could head to our respective venues depending on the event we were participating in. This was the point where we had to split up and go to our designated playing areas. As for me, I joined the athletics event, so I stayed at the same venue since the opening program was held at the athletics grounds. It was convenient and exciting to see the action start right away!
Fast forward to day two, since not much happened on day one. Not all my athletes got to compete due to time constraints, as there were so many schools participating. Every district had entrants, from elementary to senior high.
On day two, my students finally got to compete in various athletics events. Thankfully, all the effort paid off. The kids had fun, gained valuable experience, and even though it was exhausting—especially with the intense heat—it was all worth it. My athletes won, and we didn’t go home empty-handed!
On day three, the awarding ceremony for the athletes who won in the various athletics events finally took place. Since some of my students were among the winners, we made sure to return for this special moment. I only asked the winning students to come back, while those who didn’t place were allowed to rest.
Whether they won or not, I was genuinely proud of all my students. We all enjoyed the experience, and seeing their efforts pay off was truly fulfilling. Though tiring, it was all worth it! 🤗
One of the highlights of the event was meeting new friends, especially fellow coaches from other schools. It was great to connect with them, share experiences, and learn from one another. Despite that we were all focused on the competition, building new relationships with others added an extra joy to the experience. It’s always refreshing to meet same vibe people who share the same passion for sports and working with young athletes.
That's it for today's blog, hope I entertained you all. Till next time, Ciao! 😘
