The reason I stop posting for now

in Hive Learners4 months ago

Hey all

At first I was realy happy to find a community that seems to be uncensored and friendly and even allows someone to earn a little money. On first sight, I tought wow, cool!

After the sign-up process I started posting and shorty got targeted by the hivewatchers. I didn't spam or plagiate anything they just thought that my content is not high-quality enough. At first I was angry but I understand what the point behind the hivewatchers so I could make an agreement and chagned to way of my posts to meet their requirments.

My posts are NOT spam, not plagiarism and not low-quality but for some reason I still got downvoted by the account "buildawhale" and I dont know why. I realy dont care abou the money but by now my reputation is ruined that my posts even got shown I guess.

Feel free to check out my posts If you don't beleive me...

After a few weeks of hive I give up posting, I tried but some people here think it's better to ruin a new account instead of helping them.

I guess I keep looking for a new community back on the good old centralized internet...

Sad

I would love to say: "Bye for now it was a fun experience", but to be honest it wasnt that much ...

Bye Bye all 👋

hey don't give up ,you must find your target public ,i took a look at your content and certain is not for the open hive comunity ,you must find your public objetive here or bring your comunity to hive .

I just want to see if this buildawhale account keeps killing my reputation. I am aware that the content I post may not be suitable for everyone, but it does not harm anyone. It is not spam, it is not illegal or otherwise problematic, it is just a NSFW-Japanese culture thing like boudoir photography in western culture.

The problem is that this buildawhale account is so large that he can dictate what people can and cannot post. People can't see my posts anymore because he's ruined my reputation so badly, so why continue?

Another very very (very) problematic behaviour is that valid criticism of such a system is also censored by downvoting.

I made a post with valid criticism regarding this "censorship".
https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@missmisty/some-thoughts-regarding-the-hivewatchers
and buildawhale also voted it down so it is not as visible anymore.

I only know this kind of behaviour from totalitarian states, not from "open communities". At least criticism should always be allowed!

So there is really nothing that keeps me here. Even if I am welcome here by most users, I am certainly not welcome by the few big ones who have a say here.

On other communites you can read the guidlines and can start posting whitoug the fear of getting destroyed by some user just because he is rich and does not like what you post.

I do not know the full story behind this, but what you say sounds very worrying. As you say, criticism should always be allowed and the fact that these accounts have downvoted a critical post is a huge red flag.

I don't want to put in the effort just to be downvoted by whales who don't like my content.

I'm not in the "hentai" bubble at all, but I don't see any problems with your posts? Maybe it is something silly? Is it possible that you get downvoted because you upvote yourself? Maybe that's something people here don't like at all? I don't know as I'm new here too.

If you plan to put your account on ice please contact me, maybe you could delegate your HP then 😅
