SPACE TIME EVENT EXPERIENCE 🚀✨

in Hive Learners2 months ago

Hello, dear hivers!! Welcome back to MIYA’s blog!! 💕

It's been three weeks since my last post, and life has been super busy with school! I’ve been juggling my responsibilities as a student and an SSLG officer, but here I am now, back to share an update! 🎀

Last Saturday, we had an amazing event called the SPACE TIME EVENT held at San Remigio National High School.

If you’re not familiar with it, the event was hosted by Space Time Event and Exhibits, a group of professional geologists and experts in space exploration, rockets, robotics, and more. They travel from school to school around the world, teaching students about the wonders of space and science. The event was packed with exciting activities like the Space Dome, Space Race (Rocket), AI Realm, Talk Xhibits, and even a fun photobooth!

SPACE DOME

The Space Dome was by far the best station out of all five, and the experience was absolutely incredible! The Space Dome is a breathtaking immersive experience designed to simulate the wonders of outer space. As you step inside, you are surrounded by a massive, 360-degree projection screen that showcases stunning visuals of the cosmos, from swirling galaxies to distant planets and sparkling stars.

The dome uses advanced technology, such as high-resolution images and dynamic soundscapes, to create a realistic feeling of being in space, almost as if yoy were floating among the stars yourself. It’s an awe-inspiring journey that captivates my senses and imagination, offering a unique perspective of the universe. The feeling of being dwarfed by the vastness of space inside the dome is truly humbling, making it an unforgettable experience for any space enthusiast.

SPACE RACE (ROCKET)

The Space Race was such an exciting experience! The crew taught us how to build and launch our own rockets using simple materials like a recyclable 1.5L soft drink bottle. They explained the science behind it, showing us how air pressure and water work together to propel the rocket into the sky.

It was hands-on and super fun, and I loved the creativity involved. When it was time to launch, watching the rockets soar into the air was incredible, it went way higher than I expected! Seeing something we made actually take flight gave me a sense of accomplishment and made the whole experience unforgettable.

AI REALM

The AI Realm at the Space Time event was an incredible experience that really opened my eyes to the power of technology.

They started by showing us how to light a bulb using electricity, which was a cool hands-on demo that made learning about circuits so easy. But the real highlight was watching the robots in action!

They did amazing things, one robot danced with perfect rhythm, another could copy hand gestures in real time, and another could identify different colors instantly. We even saw a robot kick a ball! It was fascinating to see how advanced AI and robotics have become, and it left me in awe of what's possible with this technology.

TALK XHIBITS

The Talk Xhibit was such an engaging and informative station! Sir Christian, a professional geologist, gave an in-depth discussion about rocks, minerals, and even collect rocks and other incredible things and how they all connect to Earth science.

He shared some of his own experiences from working in the field as a geologist, which made the whole talk even more fascinating. The reason he and his team came to our school was to teach and share their knowledge with us, especially focusing on SPS and STEM students. Sir Christian took the time to speak to each grade level which is SPS, Grade 11, and Grade 12 STEM students which ended up taking about two hours per batch.

By the time the event finished, it was already night, but no one seemed to mind because the students said it was totally worth it. Everyone walked away feeling like they had learned so much, and it was an event we’ll all remember.

PHOTOBOOTH

One of the best parts of the event was the free photobooth! If you joined the event, you could take as many pictures as you wanted, and the backgrounds made it look like you were actually in space.

FB_IMG_17290887441800640.jpg

It was so cool to stand in front of planets, stars, and galaxies, and feel like you were part of the cosmos. The quality of the photos was incredible, and the fact that it was unlimited made it even better, the students definitely took advantage of that! It was such a fun way to capture memories from the day, and everyone loved how realistic and creative the space-themed backgrounds were.

The Space Time Event was an absolutely amazing experience, and I’m so grateful I got to be a part of it. From building rockets and exploring the stars and astronauts in the Space Dome to interacting with robots in the AI Realm, every moment was packed with excitement and learning. It opened my eyes to so many new things and really fueled my curiosity about science and space. I can only hope there will be a next time because I’d love to dive even deeper into these fascinating topics and see what else they have in store for us.
