Not So Free

In order to have a sane and serene society there must be laws that govern such society. Laws have been created since the world came into existence and I don't think anything is changing it. It's a must for everyone to comply with laws, even though laws differ from region to region, it's still a restraint from certain things that every human being must abide with.

In the days of the old in the Bible, there are laws that govern the people of God which are compulsory for them to follow, but we still read about some people that intentionally go against the law in which they know that once they derail from God's instructions they will be penalized, but they still violated it, that tells us that humans can't be alone without anything keeping them in place.

I believe all human beings have free will, you can do whatever we want at any time whether good or bad, but you must bear in mind that whatever the consequences that follow such actions will be dealt with by you 'the action taker'.

But in the real sense, there should be limits to everything in life because once the clause that restrains a man is removed from a particular thing, then almost everyone will commit atrocities that will harm others or eventually do something that will lead to the death of others.

A society without limits will be chaotic because an adage says a city without law, has no chargeable offence, when there is no law governing a thing, you can't charge me for doing anything whether reasonable or unreasonable with it.

I vividly remember during my undergraduate days that it's an offence for any student not to hang his or her identity card on the neck, anyone caught violating the ID card law will be taken to the students affair department for interrogation and persecution, likewise sitting on the walkway rail is punishable.

All students try their best to comply with the lay down rules because once anyone is caught violating those laws and more, then he or she should be ready to dance to the school's tune, either expulsion or suspension. So everyone trend softly so as not to be the scape goat.

Therefore, without law people will be so carefree, oppression will be multiplied and this will lead to disorderliness of the society. Presently in my beloved country which has laws that govern the land, some wealthy individuals, unfortunate politicians and so call Royal fathers are still using it against the less privileged. Let's now say, there is no law, then almost everyone will have been killed by their irrationally actions while those that are in their wealthy caliber will live in affluence.

Though too much of everything is bad and the same applies to many laws as well but we humans can not be left all alone to do whatever we like and however we like it. I love this "not so free" world because almost everyone is cautious of living. Having in mind that there is/are consequence(s) for all our action(s).

This is my entry to Hive learner weekly prompt. Thanks for visiting my blog and have a wonderful weekend.

Yes you are right that we are free to live a life but there's a limit of everything and excess of everything is bad.....

I love the way you outlined and explained your points, what kind of society would we have without the existence of rules that governs us? No one is expected to be totally free to do what they want because by doing so they would infringe on others right.
