Helping is very important. I'm someone who loves to volunteer for others, especially when it's something I love to do. I could remember, and I've been doing this volunteer work for a long time now.In the year 2019, I started taekwondo coaching in my school; it was just a volunteer job. No money has been paid to me; I could remember going to school every day because of sports. As time went on, I was given the role of sports director, and I did that for years as a volunteer.
I trained both staff and non-teaching staff every week just for them to stay fit without collecting a penny. In all my volunteer jobs, I never once thought of getting paid or even asked for money.I did that for years, and even after I became a graduate, I still went back to do the volunteer work.Last year, I started training back in my school. I just went back because I wanted to train myself, not knowing that everything would change again.
I was just at the handball court training, and then one man approached me and asked if I could please train their athletes for the competition coming up soon. And since it's my work, I didn't even ask any questions before I said yes; funny enough, we started the training as soon as possible.
We went for competition and came home with gold.Another voluntary work I did last year was taking a university to all African games competitions because we went for the previous game. I was called upon again to help them, and this time the competition was for all the Africans. Well, I did my best in training the athletes. Also, when it was time for the competition, I left my comfort zone to stay with the athletes and support them in the game, even though it was tough, but at the end of the nine-day competition, we were able to come home with a gold medal, two silvers, and one bronze.
This competition was stressful, but I was happy going. Although after everything, I was compensated because they were so proud of us.Presently I'm still doing voluntary work. Another competition is coming up very soon, and now I have been given the role of a coach, which I'm traveling every week to go and train students. I've been doing that since January, and I'm still doing it till this moment. I do travel four days.
What was my experience about this? Well, that wasn't the only thing I've been doing for people, and honestly, if you asked what the experience was like, sometimes it's worth it for people that know the value of what you are giving them, and sometimes it's not worth it.
But either way, if you are someone that loves to do something for people even before they ask, you will always understand that volunteer work is nothing to you, regardless of the stress you are seeing in the job. Although sometimes I get compensated, a job that doesn't pay well is also a voluntary job, especially when you love to do it. So if you ask me if I would be doing that again, I will say yes because it's what I love to do.

Congratulations on your attitude, as I practice running and cycling, I really liked that you always try to motivate people to overcome their challenges and seek to evolve and make this cycle continue.
