No doubt that things are fast changing, and everything is now easy for individuals. Unlike the Stone Age, whereby they had to use stone for absolutely everything. Well, that's not the talk for today. Talking about the easy access, obviously it's a blessing. But when you see something on a platter of gold, it won't be valuable; that is just what I'm seeing.
There are opportunities everywhere; you could easily tell what is going on abroad because you don't need to travel down before you can tell. Well, the easy access is a great opportunity, but the disadvantages make us very lazy.Back in the days when our forefathers had to travel miles before getting a piece of information, they knew the value of every piece of information given to them.
Unlike now, before you could be knowledgeable even in your bedroom.Anything that comes easily won't be valuable; this makes each and every one of us always procrastinate and even think we do not need anyone to guide us to the right part. Here are some of the disadvantages of easy access.
Laziness: One of the disadvantages of easy access to knowledge is laziness, since you know that you will have chances to always get what you want at any time, especially in this era that we are in, the time of technology. People tend to procrastinate everything they want to learn to another day; in the long run, they end up not learning anything.Meanwhile, in the olden days, there was nothing like that. People got to learn any moment they had the chance; this is because to even get to see knowledge back then was by connections.
We should also know that people with easy access lack discipline. People now don't care to go to school or not, they don't care about having a superior who can guide them to the right part, we have all forgotten that even discipline is also part of the knowledge we are looking for. Since there is easy access to everything. They don't care about who you are. Why do people respect each other? Isn't it because they are more knowledgeable than each other or even have money? Since the Internet is now the best teacher, they could easily get through whatever they want.
In summary, even when there are easy access to knowledge. Our predecessor still have more knowledge than we do, they valued everything they had learned, and still learning. We could not value whatever we are learning and this makes us have nothing in our brain. When something is too much, you end up not knowing anything at all. Ask anyone any questions about his or her field of studies, a fresh graduate to be precise, he or she will not be able to answer questions. But ask our predecessor about the past. They will tell you everything they know without making any mistakes. This is to tell us that, they valued their knowledge and still keep leaning every day. The easy access is a blessing and same time a curse. We are so lazy we don't make good use of our easy access.
We don't value what we are learning because we didn't work for it. We don't know what it takes for us to get here.
I was telling my sister that our fore father are better than us in terms of knowledge , she was arguing with me , somehow, I like this that you have written.
The major issue is just learning to use this privilege effectively. Instead of allowing easy access to make us lazy, it's important we should take advantage of it to grow and make ourselves better.
Uneven though I don't agree with this notion, I understand your point and know it's a possibility.
