The current job market is like a huge maze, where unemployment is like a silent disaster. Competition is increasing day by day, and the job market is becoming more difficult. The situation has become such that not only fresh graduates, but also experienced professionals are fighting for low-paying jobs.
In this situation, while looking for a job, candidates are seen to lack confidence, disinterest in the position, and in some cases excessive expectations. These problems become even bigger when one does not have a clear idea of one's skills, qualifications for the position, and the job market.
Even experienced candidates are now lining up for jobs that a fresher is supposed to have hope in. Even if they get a low-paying job, they are accepting it. As a result, the chances of freshers getting called for interviews are decreasing, and even if they get one, they are not considered suitable for the job.
However, the problem does not end here. Many candidates do not know what position they are applying for or whether they are even qualified for that position. They are applying for one job advertisement after another with a simple CV prepared from a shop. But due to lack of understanding about the real needs of the position and their own skills, they are not succeeding.
Why are you studying? To get a job? To do business? To make your future better? To survive in society? The answers may be different, but the goal is the same - to establish yourself. However, even after completing your studies, many of us do not understand in which direction to move forward. This is because our education system does not provide any guidance on job preparation according to skills. Our schools, colleges or even universities are never taught how to step into the job market after completing your studies. As a result, a boy or girl ends up in a vast sea of unemployment after completing their studies. But they do not know which direction is right for them.
Preparing yourself well is very important to survive in the job market. But not only preparation is necessary, you need to set your expectations according to reality. Now you are perfect for that position but the salary you are asking for is equivalent to the higher-ranking officials of that position, then will they take you there? Again, when despite asking for a high salary, they offer you a low salary and you accept it, then the organization will think that there is a problem in you. Just as there is a difference in every position, there is also a difference in its salary. A person cannot be an expert in everything equally. And he has to understand that whether he is fit for that position or not.
From my short experience, if you want to see yourself working in any position, prepare yourself for that position completely. Accept that you are not fit for all jobs. Remove this idea from your thinking that they will call you for an interview just by submitting your CV. Read the job advertisement, if you have what kind of requirements they have then apply for the job if not then stop and work to achieve it.
The current job market is tough, but it is not invincible. If you move forward with the right plan, skills and professional attitude, you will definitely be successful. Remember, survival in the job market is possible only for the skilled. So do not be unprepared, prepare yourself and move towards success.
Well said. The job market is very saturated these day especially in countries with high population. Low amount of jobs with a lot of applicants. Easier for companies to offer less wage. But a completely different scenario is going on in the more developed countries. They also have unemployment, but due to the lack of skilled workers. So even through brain drain is a bad thing for one country. It can maybe help someone a lot on a personal level.
