Learning a language as an adult.may be very cumbersome. In the formative years, as a child, one could learn all the language as they grow.
It is more difficult to learn a language as an adult.
Perhaps, that why for 8 years, all you could do is to greet in Yoruba language.
For some of us that were born here, despite that we are not of the Yoruba ethnic group, we could not only speak but also write the language.
The advantage of getting to speak, write and understand languages is that it gives you an hedge to be able to do business and communicate with people who speak the language.
Learning isn't a crime though. You have a great chance to learn Yoruba, just put your mind to it.
