One parenting skill that never fades is learning to build independent children. This skill has proven to build a groundbreaker over the centuries. This is why allowing a child to make informed decisions is the best act of privacy a child can ever get.
Parents should know that a child will grow and become an adult, they should be helped, monitored and encouraged to be responsible for all their actions.

Exactly. That's the balance there. Children will also grow and become adults, they can not stay with their parents forever. So, they should be allowed to try things by themselves, make decisions on their own while parents only need to monitor, guide and give supports where needed.
