itsekiri tribe
In the world today there are various cultures, believe, behavior, art, food, language and pattern of life of the people, in Nigeria we have different cultures and ways of life of the people and different tribes also.
I'm from Nigeria delta state warri, in warri we have different tribes like the urhobo, ijaw,isoko, okpe, itsekiri etc. Am gonna talk about my culture which is the itsekiri tribe, their traditional dressing, believe, traditional dance and unity.

Itsekiri is a small tribe, reason been told that during the olden days most itsekiri mother's that gave birth to twins, triplets etc, they kill all the twins, triplets by soaking them in water because they believe it's forbidden according to tradition before Mary Mitchell slessor came and stop the killing of twins and triplets etc and as a result of that itsekiri became very small in numbers.
itsekiri king is called the olu of warri ogiame Atuwatse 111 of warri kingdom and we have the prime minister called olgbotsere and other sub cabinet like the chiefs called the ojoye

Traditional dressing
Itsekiri tribe is a culture with Rare quality, the proper dressing of a itsekiri man is to tie long wrapper and top know as ikemeje then carry walking stick and wear a traditional hat and bag also shoe and with long bead on their neck.
While the women tie native double wrapper, while their brouse matching the wrapper and plenty beads on their neck and hand and their fancy shoe and bag and traditional handfan, their double gele to match the outfit.
And one of our traditional dressing for paying of bride price is called ugweke picture at the left hand side.
Traditional dance
We have several dance in itsekiri but one of the dance am familiar with is the omoko dance it's a unique dance with Amazing costume and the dance is very interesting and exciting
itsekiri tribe is very United with love and harmony and most believe in God while some do their traditional rite/believe in gods, we have our unique kind of food but the main itsekiri cultural food is banga soup and starch.
