Over the past few days, I’ve been in my room watching people have their detty December in full blast. Going to shows here and there, parties and celebrations galore. But hey, we watch , we don’t judge. Just remember, whoever you’re spending your December money with should be the same person you ask for urgent 50 dollars in January next year.
The festive season as we all know is always filled with up’s and downs. Bills to pay, feeding and traveling expenses, gifts for family and friends and what have you. In this month, most salary workers are payed earlier due to the upcoming holidays and now that the holidays are in full blast, people are already halfway into spending their salary. One thing most people forget is that your December salary is meant to also take you through to the end of January. If you’re not a millionaire, a millionaires kid, wife or family member, you need to make sure to manage your finances very well in these times.
Personally, I’m not really having much of a detty December this year and even if it’s going to be detty, it wouldn’t be very very detty so I know I’m safe in these times. Being a person of habit, every month or day is mostly the same for me when it comes to my finances. I know how much I’m going to spend every month, on what and why. Needs first, then savings, then wants and then we go on. I always make sure to know how the month would look like for me so that I can perfectly allocate funds for everything.
Mostly, I eat from home unless I have to eat from outside so I mostly get my foodstuff, toiletries and other stuff I need at home in bulk. Then I move on to other things like transport and what have you. One thing we don’t really talk about it mobile data. Is it that it’s just me or everyone has just decided to act like nothing is happening. The amount of money I spend on data is literally more than what I spend on feeding in a month. Meaning my phone is eating more than me. But , what is a phone without data? Let’s move on before I start to cry.🥲
In this season where we need money for everything and with the current economy, we the average citizens need to be very tactical when it comes to our finances. Allocate funds properly, do not over spend and make sure to save for the coming month. Save for your rent, your kids school stuff and whatever needs to be taken care of in January before you plan to go out and have fun. If your money can’t take you outside, just stay inside. Look at me, I didn’t die from staying inside and you won’t also die if you stay indoors. As they say, cut your coat according to your size.
On this note , I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Wishing you and your loved ones the joy and blessings of the season. Do enjoy your holidays!❤️🎄

During this festive season, managing one's purse and minding spending is top tier. Detty December only lasts a very short while.
Merry Christmas. 🎄✨
You’re right.
Many happy returns.
