How is hive different from other social media platforms like web 2?
As technology evolves and has internet changes in layer, we have seen different upgrades ranging from web 1 to web 2 and now we are in the era of web3 but mind you, web 3 is still at her infancy stage and that is where Hive belong. Web 2 only allows for interactions and majority of her users are playing major role in advertising those platforms without any reward attached to it, the developers take the lion share of the profit but not like web 3 that rewards every of your action.
Hive is built on a blockchain technology that is decentralized in its framework. Which is totally different from other platforms that are centralized. Centralization means a control over a thing, group of people, nation, etc by a person, group, entity or an organization and an example of this is the government but decentralization talks about the freedom not to be controlled i.e an avenue for one or people to make decisions or do things based on how they want it to be done without an interference. We cant compare them even when their functions look alike but they are different because they are built on different layers of the internet.
So;
- Hive allows for freedom unlike other web 2 platforms which controls/censor.
- Hive Rewards her users even to the point of interactions i.e comment, reblogging, etc
- Hive records because everything on web 3 is recorded.
- Hive is transparent. there is nothing shady about web 3 and hive has all her transactions recorded which helps everyone to see and track all transactions.
- Hive is decentralized. It allows her users to be in charge of there contents, rewards and make their decisions anytime.
Vividly explain the following terminologies in your own understanding:
a. Plagiarism: this is a point where someone uses another person's content (s) without the consent or approval of the owner of the content.
b. Vote begging: this means the use of tactically using some tags to get votes.
C. Post Recycling: this is a point when an author reposts the content which he or she has posted before maybe just because the person as ran out of what post to write.
In what ways is the use of tags relevant to your post? Also do you think that abuse of tags may attract downvote on your post? If yes or no, explain? Also list 5 general tags you know
In the real sense, tags helps contents to get more views and allows it to reach more people and in turn, more interactions.
- Downvote is possible when tags are used wrongly and that is why it is important we all learn how to use tags accurately so as to only benefit from the advantages that come with it.
There are lots of tags but i will only mention 5 since that is the instruction and they are:
- pimp
- hive-engine
- neoxian
- inleo
- pob
Finally, I believe my above post answers all the questions asked.
Honestly, the difference between Hive and Web2 platforms is huge! Your post is very informative. Well done.
I never knew inleo was a general tag, is it a token or category tag?
Nicely written ♥️
Glad you understood all these, they are very important on Hive.
Happy Sunday
