Giving is part of life, and we all need each other to survive. Both the rich and the poor need one another at a different point in our lives. It just makes sense to show kindness and support one another. While some people have good intentions to give, others give with ulterior motives. The question is, do intentions of giving really matter since people will benefit from the act whether it came from the heart or not?
Well, to be fair, creating a genuine culture for helping one another is the best for humanity. Imagine having empathy for one another. Imagine putting the needs of one another ahead and assisting genuinely with the little you have, relieving others from pain, anxiety, and heaviness in their hearts. Sometimes, it could be your time, your energy, and not even Cash. That person who received such charity will forever remain grateful. We still have this kind of giver today who gives from the heart no matter how inconvenient it can be to them and without expecting any form of recognition or another gift in return and without capturing the moment to display on social media.
I have this particular casual friend of mine whose second name should be attention seeker. He isn't a blogger but only loves to be recognized for his charity deeds. He is blessed with finance but only helps people in the public. Either you accept to be captured and put on social media or forget about being helped. We all have different upbringings and different perspectives about life, and the same thing is applicable to people's different mindsets when it comes to giving. As long as people really receive the gift and it changes their life for good, it doesn't really matter, but personally, I feel that this kind of showcasing your kindness doesn't attract God's blessings even though humans will recognize you as a philanthropist.
People give charity today for different purposes and intentions. I feel that giving out charity just because you want others to recognize you or film it for social media purposes so that the world can see it isn't necessary. However, I am not condemning anyone who takes this route while giving. Looking at it from a positive view, some people might get motivated to cultivate the habit of giving when they constantly watch people give out to others through the media. This reminds me of the Neo Care charity project we did from hive two years ago. Some of us from the Neoxian City Discord server made a hive contribution to visit an orphanage home. I was appointed to take responsibility for the charity project. I got different items and headed to one orphanage home nearby.
While I didn't fancy the idea of snapping with children together with the items I gifted them, capturing the moment was needed as evidence to show the many people that contributed the liquid hive with me for the charity project. At last, many people who saw the post when we published it to give an account of the movement were motivated to give for our next charity outing. We received more liquid hives and HBD, which helped us carry out another massive project in Pakistan.
Wrapping up, as much as it doesn't matter if you give out from your heart or not, provided that people receive this gift, personally, I wouldn't be taking this route.I believe that the right attitude to giving should be a giving—from the heart and not for likes, recognition, or expecting something in return.

There’s this verse in the Bible I can’t quote it verbatim but it’s about your left hand not knowing when your right hand is giving out as it invites God’s blessings, I just checked and it’s Matthew 6:3. I firmly believe in that, but in a way we as donors or sponsors might not know which one is real without proof, so i understand why the pictures had to be taken
Exactly... even the scripture said it meaning that our Creator is interested in seeing us give from our heart with nothing attached
Glad u understand the intentions of posting this picture
Giving without expecting anything in return😊
sure 😃
The intention of giving or showing kindness still matters.
Showcasing kindness doesn't attract God's blessings, but humans will, by the likes, accolades, and attention.
Just like you mentioned, there was an intention for posting the picture, for evidence, since it was a collective something and and that's understandable. Well done, @nkemakonam89
Indeed Iska, any form of show off of ones kindness only attract accolades from humans.. however there are some instances we can't avoid it but in everything, God sees the heart
Thanks for your warm feedback
As much as you give from your heart and not for any ulterior motive, that is the purest giving ever to me. God is only pleased when you give willingly from your heart and not something you want to get in return because you helped.
I have same view as well... giving to receive blessings from God is a thing of the Heart unless we don't care about God's blessings
Thanks for visiting dear
Yeah that's right, we should give without expecting anything in return.
I believe givers never lack especially when you do it with a clean mind.
Exactly sholex.... however people with different intentions of giving
Thanks for stopping by
You are actually right ma'am. Your intentions while rendering out to people must be pure. Alot of people give out to people in return of something back or just for likes or to gain attention of people on social media and isn't suppose to so, give without having an ulterior motive. Nice write-up.
Sure bro...that's the right attitude to giving
I appreciate your visit 🤗
You gave a balance opinion about this topic. What I deduce is that, unless where it becomes necessary like the neo care Charity project, one should strive to give without the camera. This is lovely. It gives the receiver more confidence and self-esteem.
Indeed...u got my point bro
Thanks for reading through ♥️
This is quite a balanced view from all I've been reading today.
Giving should be without the camera except for reasons like the charity outreach you did.
awwww, glad you see my view as balanced
Thanks for your time in reading through my post
I totally agree with you, giving should be done willingly, but in cases like this where you need to prove to the sponsors it's okay. #dreemport
Yesoo my darling
Glad you agree with me 🤗
Very interesting, at least it makes you happy when you put a smile in other people's face, just look how happy those children are and most importantly God will repay you for your good.
#dreemerforlife
Exactly sis 🥰
You see I was saying just yesterday that the reason behind taking pictures when you’re giving out should be to motivate people to give to others as well and that is what you did. I’m glad many people were motivated to give the next time.
Pictures sure give others motivation to cultivate the habit of giving. I hope we don't deviate from the purpose of our giving even as we take pictures wen necessary
