ADDICTED TO GAMBLING

It is of no doubt that gambling has done more harm than good in the lives of many people. The rate at which people become addicted to playing these gambling games is on the high side. You see a once rich man, go into debt because of their addiction to gambling. Gambling sites gives you a dollar after collecting 2 or 3 dollars from you without your notice.

We all have our different persepctive about gambling, for some, the king of gambling, its a way to make easy money. No risk, no rewards as they say, but for others, its a way of wasting both time and resources. Also, some see it as a fun thing to do.

I have once tried gambling some time ago when i was still in school. You know what they say about beginners luck. During my first few days of joining, i was winning, though i had some loses, my wins was more, so, i did not pay no attention to my loses. It went on for some time until it became hard for me to win because i decided to upgrade from looking for small odds to looking for bigger odds. Even after i realized my mistakes, i went back to the way i used to play, but still, i was not winning as frequently as i used to, so, i left before i became i addicted to it.

Though i was not a chronic gambler, i could feel myself becoming addicted to gambling as time went on. Thankfully, i was able to realize myself and back out.

I will not agree with the idea of making gambling an illegal thing in my country or the world at large. Its a transaction between two people, like a business perse, just that many people become blinded by greed and continue to play even though they are losing everything.

Gambling is business for some people, even though it is at the expense of other peoples wealth. It is like a transaction - come and play, if you win, i will give you a thousand but there is a catch, you must stake 10 to get a thousand.

Now, it all depends on me to see if i can bear the risk of getting easy money. We all have the right to make informed decisions for ourselves, and these betting sites and all other gambling agency, show their terms and conditions to all of their customer even before they start playing.

For me, if anybody wants to gamble away their life, then they can go ahead. So long as they were given enough information before they started, i have no problems with it.

Allow them to pour their hard earned money into gambling, let them learn the hard way and if they fail to learn, then, welp, we lost another person to gambling, but there should be no law obstructing another persons business.

Like i said earlier, we all have the right to make informed choice. If i want a car, i will buy it. If i want to gamble, then i will gamble responsibly, not letting greed cloud my foresight.

Exactly. Let people do what they want. If they want to lose money, it's up to them. It's all in their control and discipline. making it illegal wouldn't stop it anyways. people will still find ways online or offline. Just like drugs, alcohol and anything in life. When done excessively it's bad for us and can ruin our lives; gambling is no different.

True, no matter what measures that's taken to end gambling, it will all be futile. people will still find a way around it.

It has indeed ruined many lives, but like you rightly said, its a personal choice.

Those who wants to gamble their lives away can do that.

Some people are making money through gambling and some are wretched because of addiction, I believe everyone has their own view about gambling. It may work for some and it may lead others to their Early grace through depression.

Business and taxes, high entertainment taxes and the potential to generate state revenue, seem very attractive.

As you said, gambling is a personal choice and we have our right to say otherwise about it. To me, gambling is something that shouldn't be encouraged especially to people who would rather turn it into addiction as it may destroy lots of things.
