LIMITED FREEDOM IS ALL WE NEED

in Hive Learners5 days ago

The concept of freedom has been frequently preached form one mouth to another, people are told that they have the rights to do quite a number of things, but then, when you look deeply, you tend to notice that the freedom they have is not actually freedom.

Yes, it is inarguable that as humans, according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we all have the audacity to flex a wide range of rights. If you look at this from one perspective, it means freedom to do a variety of things, but when you look at it from another perspective, that freedom is not really freedom.

The outlining of rules and regulations, and punishing of law offenders is a necessity for each and every country. It is very much obvious that these rules, the laws are made to protect citizens from hurting each other. Basically, it saves one weak person from the other strong person, but then, when you look at all these things from an entirely different perspective, you can not help it but wonder, are these strict rules and punishments not limiting the freedom of people?

We live in a world were the strong are predators while the weak ones are prey waiting to be devoured at any moment. Bullies exist here and there, and and it seems like there is no hope for the bullied.

Think of it, How will surviving in a world were there is ultimate freedom be like? A world where there are no rules or regulation to guard the little female child from rapists, a world where there is no rule to guard you from thieves, a world where everybody can do every single thing they desire all in the name of freedom. Quick question, would you want to raise your child in such a world? Would you want your child to be victim of the many negativities that will engulf such a world? The answer is a big fat NO.

It is inarguable that sometimes, these law makers and law enforcers get intoxicated by the power bestowed in them, thus, the rise of a corrupt judicial system, but then, at least some of them are trying their best do what is right.

In the eyes of some people, the strict rules and regulations as well as the intense punishment of law offenders may seems like not being free, but to me, we have all the freedom we need.

The amount of freedom we have is enough and that is all we need to survive. From my experience, we humans are difficult to control if there is no touch of strictness and ruthlessness.

For me, everything is perfect the way it is. The strict rules and regulations are good, and the punishment is good. The fear of being punished will make people not to do any harm to another person, so, its good like that.

I can't even imagine living in a world were there is ultimate freedom - no rules and regulations, and no punishment of law offenders. People will do wild things in such a world.

Freedom should be limited not ultimately. There should be rules that govern people not to go the extra mile.

Rules keep people in check and aid in the disciplined behavior of people.

Yeah we can't always be free to do whatever we want. A world like that wouldn't make sense at all. But still we should be deprived of our rights and freedom to do some certain things

Allowing people to be totally free would have a negative impact.

There should not be complete freedom either, there must be some strictures, then people also start doing wrong, but here there must be freedom to speak the truth so that people can speak the truth and tell the world about their problem or what they have seen through their eyes.

There should be a certain amount of freedom. Right should not be taken away from us, but then, there should be appropriate regulations to check and punish law offenders.
