The act of buying and selling started a very long time ago when fiat was not available. During those days, we heard many stories of the use of the trade by barter system to exchange one goods for another.
I wish I have first hand experience of those days where fiat was not in existence, instead, trading was done by exchanging one good for another, but then, I wouldn't be alive to write this post, probably.
There is this joy I derive when I shop for stuffs by myself. Instead of asking someone to help me do the shopping, I prefer to go by myself and enjoy the views of different things that are on display.
I remember when I went to buy a bedsheet. I went to different shops, but I could not buy the bedsheet I wanted because it was either overpriced, or they don't have it at all.
When searching for a place to buy the bedsheet at a favorable price, I met this guy that has the exact bedsheet I was looking for. Though his price was not overpriced, neither was it in the range of my budget, I ended up buying the bedsheet and two curtains from him because of how transparent, honest ajd hospitable he was.
He guided me through different designs while cracking jokes and making even his competitor laugh. Every material he gave me, he made sure to explain the material. He even offered to sew the bedsheet for free even though he do charge a certain amount to sew bedsheets. It was a nice buy, and the price was fair.
I don't always have good trades as this. Sometimes, I meet people who are really annoying. They say customers are always right, but in the next experience I'm about to share, customers are as wrong as a beginning trader's technical analysis.
Few weeks ago, I went to the market to purchase some foodstuffs that'll last me the week, and I got some eggs too.
I got to the market and first bought everything I wanted and then, I bought the eggs last cause' I didn't want the other foodstuffs to break it.
My shopping for that day was successful, so I thought. I got home and I arranged everything I bought from market. When I checked what I bought against my budget, I noticed that I spent a little bit above my budget. Welp, as the saying goes, a drop of water can not change the taste of a palm wine ~ unknown.
The next day, when I wanted to use the eggs, I realized that the egg was really bad and can't be used to cook anything as it has already rotted.
Only two out of the 5 eggs I bought were useful. I was very annoyed at this. I just wasted my money on rotten eggs, and what's worst is that I have no way to prove that the eggs were rotten cause' I broke all of them when I was searching for a good one.
Nonetheless, the next time I went to the market, I told the egg seller about the bad eggs and she said to my face that I was lying. I was not surprised though because I had no evidence, but I was really annoyed.
When I tried to make her understand what i as trying to say, she began to raise her voice in the market. She argued that she bought the eggs directly from the poultry and there is no way it will be spoilt. I refused to prolong the talk because I don't want people to gather, so, I left her and continued what I came to do in the market.
Ever since that day, I always avoid her store anytime I go to the market.

Good experience
thank you
Heheh, even though in this scenario there was no way for her the seller to know the eggs were spoilt unless there's a way to know spoilt eggs just from looking at it I don't know, but a good trader would have atleast empathized with you,it's not as if you were telling her about it so you can collect your money back or something like that, ordinary, sorry oh bro was more than enough and she could even give you one just to ameliorate the damages but raising her voices, na
Liikkkkeee.. I just wanted to tell her so that she will cross check her eggs whenever she bought from the poultry she buys from. I was really annoyed, but welp, I could not raise my voice on a woman, moreover that place is a public place.
Thanks for stopping by
That was actually a good experience with the good trader, but that of that woman who sold Spoilt eggs was a very bad experience..
The experience with the bedsheet guy was golden. That egg seller, welp, I have nothing to say Sha. Let her continue.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I believe that the attitude of each trader is key in determining their outcomes in life as the memory of good ones will always linger in the mind of the consumer and attract more patronage.
Awesome post
Yes you're very much correct. Memories are hard to forget, mostly bad ones, so, it is important to treat everyone with a touch of kindness irrespective of the situation
It happens that the nice attitude of the seller makes us buy more than we actually intend to do. So was your cae with the bedsheet seller.
About the egg seller , I would say she should have been considerate in her response. It won't pull you away from her shop forever
I love how the bedsheet guy was hospitable. He has a nice attitude. For the egg woman, she just lost a customer
