Thinking back and looking at how far we've come due to the advent of the internet, I can't help it but marvel at the wonderful innovation, the internet.

From web one, the internet has upgraded itself up to web 3 and more. I don't have profound knowledge of the internet like an internet guru, but then, with the little knowledge I have, I could see and feel the impact of the internet in, not only my life, but in the lives of many people who use the internet around me.
Think of it, we was in a time when the Internet did not existed, sending and receiving messages was difficult, selling music records was very hard compared to now, and also, getting information is not as fast as it is now.
Inarguably, the Internet came with many good things, goodies as I like to call it, but then, many things that comes with an advantage, always have a disadvantage.
Every body has the right to do whatever they want, welp, depending on your age though cause' age limits the amount of rights you exercise and to what extent you exercise these rights, but then, irrespective of that, as humans, we are all born with the capacity to exercise our rights.
One of these many human rights we can exercise as humans is the right to decision making. However, think about it, what if a child is given the full authority to make major decisions for themselves and by them self? It doesn't make sense right? They will make wrong decisions right? Yes, the parents need to be there to make these decisions for them until they are of age to make independent decisions after getting full knowledge of the consequences and rewards of their decision.
Putting right to internet as one of the UDHR (Universal Declaration of Human Right) is not actually a bad thing to do. Come to think of it, I have never seen a situation where a person is stopped from accessing the internet anytime and any day, but then, making this a right is actually not a bad idea.
However, not everybody, mostly children, should have the full capacity of exercising these rights independently until the are of age. Here are my reasons:
The Internet, though filled with many opportunities and stuffs, it can be very dangerous to unsuspecting ones.
There are many good and bad websites that can pose a threat to a child's upbringing if left uncheck. I had to mute my Google Chrome notifications because of the disturbing ads of naked women.
Imagine a child surfing the internet and come across something of that nature? Some children will not tell their parents but go ahead to secretly continue to see those images, and from there, many character may develop in the child.
What I think for this topic is that; it is good if access to the Internet be made a human right, but then, parents should strictly monitor the activities of their children in the internet.
I think if this is made a human right, it will be a double edged sword, having a positive and negative impact as mentioned above.
Yes, it's actually something that we can live with in the long run.
Thank you for reading.

I agree with you that although this right seems good if approved, but then it's a double edged sword especially with underage children and misuse during exam, but aside that it's great and would help really well.
Its actually a double edged sword. It has good potential but then, if the kids are left unchecked, then, its impact in their lives will be bad
You said my mind in the conclusion. In as much as free internet will be but there should be regulations. Thanks for sharing sir
Yes. Regulations should be made.
Yes, I think you have a idea on how to go about this, because parents also need to play a huge role if their children have full to the internet..
Yes, parents need to come forward and play the role.
