Not all angels have wings, some are just as human as you can ever imagine. Though we live in a world where being kind and caring gets you used, there are still some people who care less about being used so long as they make other people happy.
The world today runs on a basis of, not my problems, not my business. Most individuals will hardly help another person that is not their relative.
They say, when a man gives thanks to someone that helped them, the helper tends to do more.
Since I joined hive, I have bought quite a handful of people onboard. In all of the people I brought onboard, just one person stand out. He did something that I did not expect, and honestly, what he did made my day.
When I bring somebody to the hive platform, I don't collect anything from them. I allow them enjoy their blogging experience and also, the finance that comes from it, without interfering. All I do is just guide them where necessary and allow them learn though navigating and asking me questions.
Last year, I brought two people to the hive platform. I brought the first guy who we'll call Peter, and I brought the second one, I think a month later or so. We will name the second person Paul.
Now, I actually had no intentions of bringing Paul to hive, but then, since he was friends with Peter, I decided to onboard him anyways.
Peter, the first guy, is a quick learner which made me happy. Paul on the other hand, is not actually good with the Internet, but then, with lots of encouragement, guide, trials and errors, he's gradually picking up the pace.
All my focus and time was not on Paul but Peter. Unlike Paul, I guided him, showed him many things, and also, rewarded him when he accomplish a goal. Though he's not related to me in any way, all I wanted was for him to grow in hive, and reach the heights which I could not reach.
This past December, Paul did something that made me really happy. He called me on phone and asked for my bank account details.
I was skeptical. The first thing that crossed my mind was: this guy has scammed somebody and now wants my account so that I will be implicated. Lol. I know too well that he's not a scammer, and moreover, he's not even good with the Internet, but then, don't blame me for thinking about the worst.
He persuaded me to send my account, which I reluctantly agreed. Honestly, I was really scared to the point of recording the voice call. At least, if something bad happens, I have evidence that I was not among them. Haha.. now that I think of it, I can't help it but laugh.
He sent me a sum, and a call followed. The message I received from him bat day was soooo heart warming that I couldn't even say anything. I didn't expect him to send me money or tell me that message of gratitude over the phone.
For more than two days, I was thinking about what he did. I didn't expect that about him. I payed little attention to his growth but he proved that, irrespective of his limited knowledge of the Internet, he could grow. I learnt quite a lot of lesson from that event.
When I was still in school, we were 6 guys in my department. We were really good with each other until three were demoted after our pre-final exams. It was quite unfortunate.
What's .ore unfortunate was when we form our final experience and I had to live with three of them in the same room.
The way I was treated was really disappointing and unexpected. I don't want go in details, but then, I understood that it was a result of what they are passing through. So, I tried everything possible to avoid troubles but it didn't work.
This event really affected my relationship with them. From being good friends, now we hardly communicate. I don't talk to one of them, me and another one just have a hello-hi type of friendship but the last one is cool with me.
I don't regret it cause' I'm not the cause of their problems.

A person invites someone to the platform, gives them knowledge, advice and a little moral support, and in return this! That, my friend, is really, really frikish rare - like payment letter with you receiving money! 😂 Guess gratitude hasn't completely disappeared in this world, just... fallen asleep, hahaha.
I was really surprised by that act. His gratitude made me really happy ya'know.

This was perfectly understood. You were not the cause of their problems but then they somehow turned against you. My brother that's just it. At times, you just have to let people be. You can't always please everybody.
i guess such is life.
