Negotiation is not something weird like most people think it to be. Negotiation is something you and i do almost everyday, everytime and everywhere but we may not be aware sometimes though.
The act of negotiation is the ability of knowing the actual price that is fare enough to the value we are getting. Most people pay too much for a lesser value, and others go home with value that is higher than the price they pay, while the reasonable ones strike the balance by paying a fair price for the value they get where everyone smiles and it is a win win for the both sides "the buyer and the seller". We shouldn't leave too much pie we could have grabbed on the table of negotiation by walking away and be gone with guilt on our inside for the mistake we've made getting too little all because we naturally dislike to, or are scared to negotiate.
An example of two ladies i met on the social media, both beautiful, intelligent, Smart and social, and they are both living in a distant area. The first lady accepted my proposal for dating after not too long a talk with her and that ends the conversation and every other thing. The other lady prolonged the conversation by not giving in instantly, playing hard to get gave me impulse and zeal to continue pestering her. Talk is still ongoing and i am not ready to back out.
When negotiating we need to be persistent, some give up or cave in too easily, they cant withstand the heat of negotiation and thereby wouldn't last. We're not born with the act of negotiation or the ability to stand tall and firm when negotiating, some are naturally good though, but we need to learn its ways.
Negotiation is very interesting and not harmful or weird it helps us to determine the real value of a product and its actual and fair price. It creates possibilities, affirm fairness and build trust and it can also open other opportunities for us in the long run.
