Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today’s topic is "Be a Travel Blogger," so let’s dive into it. It had been a long time since I last travelled, and if I want to travel, either I travel to my hometown during the school holidays or stay back in school until we resume. However, the last time I travelled was to a river called Owu Fall in 2022, located in Kwara State. I didn’t go on this trip alone; I went with some family members. On the day of the trip, we bought biscuits, snacks, and drinks. As we approached a nearby town, we stopped to seek permission from the people of the town because I had heard from people saying about a large snake living in the river, and the townspeople assured people who wanted to visit the river that if we notified them of our visit, they would make sure the snake stayed away until we finished our time at the river. I also heard from people that know the history of the river that there were actually two snakes living in the river. So one day, a man went there to kill both snakes but managed to kill one of them. However, when he tried to climb down the mountain, he slipped and hit his head, which led to his death. After receiving their permission, we continued our journey.
However, we had to park our car at a certain place due to how bad and rough the road to Owu Fall is, and the river is located deep inside a forest. We have to walk about 2 kilometres to reach the river. As we got closer to the river, we could hear the sound of the river rushing, especially when we called out the name "Owu Fall", and the river is pouring down from a small pot with great force.When we finally reached the river, I was happy because it was my first time seeing the river.

Despite the fact we trekked to the river place, I was happy by the view of the river and how the water is pouring out from the small pot. After relaxing for some minutes because of how tired we were because of the trekking, some of my family members jumped into the water to swim, while others climbed the mountains to get a closer look at the pot that's pouring out the water. As for me, since I can’t swim and I don’t know how to climb the mountains, I decided to dip my legs inside the water and enjoy the coldness.
After enjoying ourselves, we gathered to eat the snacks and drinks we brought along. Whenever me and two of my cousins heard how our family are shouting the river’s name, we would place our bottles under the waterfall because of how cold the water was, almost as if it had been stored in a fridge, and we will filled our bottles to drink.
In conclusion, I can't wait to travel back to Owu Fall this December because of the improvement, because I heard from people who visited the river last year that the river has changed. They said the bushes in the forest have been cleared and that they have improved the road, making it easier for vehicles to reach the river.

It seems to be a beautiful place, full of nature and surely many wild animals besides snakes. I would love to be able to bathe under that waterfall, everything about country life seems really fascinating to me.
