Action speaks louder than voice, to the man he would think you guys won't notice the way he's behaving but people who are expert in reading body language would understand the way he's behaving and if he keeps behaving like that to customers he might lose customers because we have some customers who love friendly traders such like that woman you mentioned that she's friendly and jovial with people, such people are what customers are looking for.
