The song "Diamonds" by Rihanna is more than just a song, to me it's a masterpiece that shines bright with emotional depth and resilience.
Diamond was Released in 2012, this iconic single was the lead track from Rihanna's seventh studio album, "Unapologetic".
The song was a global hit, the topped several chat around the world.
The song genre is RnB and Electronic Dance Music (EDM).
Inspirations and Song meaning
Diamond by Rihanna is a song that expresses finding the light that makes you shine as you deserved to shine. It a song of Self realization and Believing in yourself, you can overcome any darkness that come your way.
There is a star in Everyone, everyone has a purpose, until you realized yourself, the beauty in you, your talent and light, you might likely not shine among every other stars.
To some people it can mean a love song: especially if you preference the You and I in the song lyrics.
I can still remember the first time I listened "Diamonds" by Rihanna. It was around that year 2012, I think that was around the time I gained admission into the university, I think my 100 level or so, I didn't really have it easy, there was no money with me, there was no money at home, and there was nobody to run to, I got a lot running through my mind, but I had my roommates : (Dele, Victor , wale and Andy )then they were very supportive , it wasn't really easy, everyone from different backgrounds
During that time as a fresher, I was struggling to find my footing, feeling lost and uncertain about my future.
But then, I heard those iconic lyrics: "Shine bright like a diamond..." Something about this part of the song resonated deep within me. It was just like Rihanna was looking at me and speaking directly to my soul, reminding me that I had the power to overcome any obstacle, the light shines and then every darkness fades away.
The song was My Personal Anthem, lol
a solid reminder that I was stronger than I thought. Whenever I felt like giving up, I'd put on that song and let Rihanna's powerful vocals wash over me. Just like a surge of energy, motivating me to keep pushing forward.
So far so good this song has run on the top of my playlist, it now a decade of Inspiration for me.
