I have been a teacher for a lot of years, and I can tell you that parents duty to train up a child is a very crucial part of a child's life.
For example if you give your child freedom without any boundaries or restrictions, He or she may later become a spoilt brat and a Nuisance to the family, on the other hand, if you are too strict with your kids they also might end up coming up worst.
There is always a struggling to find the perfect balance between with giving your child the freedom they crave and keeping them on the right path.
Come to think of it, it looks very complicated sometimes, you might worry that giving them too much space will spoil them, or that being too strict will stifle their independence?
As parents, we want our children to grow into capable, confident, and compassionate individuals. But finding the right balance between freedom and guidance can be a daunting task.

Entitlement: When children are given too much, they can develop an entitled attitude, expecting everything to go their way, I remember watching some parents give their child too much freedom that even In school they came warning us not to scold their children, the outcome was disastrous, this is because the children end up being too wayward and stubborn.
Lack of responsibility: Without boundaries and expectations, children may not develop a sense of responsibility and accountability. The won't be accountable for anything instead their would always find who to blame.
Spoiling: Overindulgence can lead to spoiled behavior, such as tantrums, demands, and a lack of empathy.

On the other hand, providing guidance and boundaries is crucial for:
Developing self-discipline: Children need boundaries and expectations to develop self-discipline and self-regulation skills. Keeping your child in line and regular guidance would make them grow in being disciplined adult.

For me I believe the first step is to:
Set clear boundaries and expectations: Establish clear rules and expectations, and communicate them to your child, also Encourage independence, Gradually give your child more independence as they demonstrate their ability to handle it.
Offer guidance and support: Provide guidance and support when needed, but also give your child space to make mistakes and learn from them.
Practice active listening: Listen to your child's needs and concerns, and respond in a way that validates their feelings.
Be consistent and patient: Consistency and patience are key when it comes to finding the balance between freedom and guidance.

Really, taking care of a child is not an easy task at all one has to be careful but not too careful. If you do too much they'll rebel if you don't they'll go astray. One just have to set clear boundaries and not do too much
