Hello, everyone
We all encounter exceptional traders and unexceptional traders daily in the market. The ones with good heart and the ones with bad heart. You will be shocked if the traders come to destroy other trader's life in the name of selling in the market. They are sent as an agent of darkness to destroy the businesses of their neighbors and the rest of the plans they have concerning others. In a true sense, traders who mean business would have a good character to retain their customers. The secret of a successful business is a true character with love and faithfulness.
In Akwa Ibom State, there is a market called, udua itam in our local dialect. On my first day of entering that market, I was fortunate to meet a trader who sells local fresh leaves, like, afang leaves, editan, etidot, atama, and she slices the leaves too to sell. The first time I encountered her, she welcomed me as a mother who would welcome her daughter with a sparkling smile on her face. Her smile held me bound, and I decided to make her my customer, and she did the same thing to me. The day before, I went to buy an edible leaf from her, and she didn't have it; she collected money from me and went inside the market and bought and sliced it for me. This is a trader that can be retained and loved by customers. I trust her in her business, and she is so content with what she is doing.
Last year, I couldn't go to the market because of the distance. This year, I went and I saw the way this woman hugged me. I patronize exceptional traders.
Moreover, a woman sitting close to my exceptional trader, instead of learning from this woman, will be putting up attitudes whenever I come to buy from this woman. Mine your business, you won't. From her attitude, I can't buy anything from her.
On the flip side, early this month, I went to the market to purchase my NYSC stuff in preparation for the orientation camp. I entered the market with my list of Nysc items and encountered a trader who was a woman. I met her, and I asked that I was PCM and that I wanted to get things if she could show me where to buy them, she said she had some of the things that I should wait for her. so I waited. She went to another place to buy a white polo and white shorts, so I asked her how much, and she said #5000; for the other off-white polo, she said, #4500. I was shocked. I told her to keep those clothes that I was coming back and let me check at another place. I left her place and checked at another place. Behold, the white polo she gave at #5000 was 2500, and the short in another place was #2000, I screamed within me. Since then, I never returned to her place. It was a man I met, and he was very nice to me, telling me the normal prices of things. Since then, I can't go to that woman's place to buy. She was in a haste to make a profit or interest but she did it in the wrong, which wasn't nice to me.
Traders are of different types and characters. So when we enter a good one, let's treasure them.

I love, I care, and I forgive

This is an uncomfortable situation you went through! It really bothers us a lot and we need to think twice before going back to a store with terrible service. I once went to a bar and stood there for more than ten minutes without a single employee showing up. I got up and left, never to return.
That is one thing people dial to understand about business. Anyone you attended to well will always come back looking for you because of the way you treated the person but no, they want to build house from your head with one goods and in the end, they will lose it all and next thing, they're looking for people to blame.
Goodluck in your NYSC
