Greetings, everyone!
In this technological age, access to knowledge is very simple and cheap now because of the tools made available through our technological gadgets. We can gain access to knowledge without paying transportation to the library for an update or any research work. I can lie down in the comfort of my home, access the library on my phone, and obtain the maximum information I want. Gone are the days when our fathers would go to the library in search of academic information call it, research and data collection. At this point, I would say technology is helpful depending on who is handling it and how it is been handled.
Technology has cut us short of moving from house or school to library for research. I could recall in my year 1, first semester when an assignment on research was given to me. I and my colleague went to the library to search for materials that would answer the question. In the process of researching I learned a lot.
Does this make us knowledgeable?
Well, it can make us knowledgeable depending on how we are using it. The course of our research gives us vast information about what we are searching for and makes us learn new things. On the other hand, it can make us naive, when we don't use it properly.
Are we more intelligent than our fathers who had to travel miles to the library to seek knowledge?
We are in a generation where technology has caused us more harm than good. Different types of phones flying everywhere, especially in schools. You will have a question come, and instead of a student applying his or her common sense or strategical thoughts, they will rush to AI to ask and obtain information. What was the reason God created our brains, to think and bring solutions? But AI has taken the place of our brains; we can't brainstorm any longer, but AI is brainstorming for us.
True knowledge comes from analyzing, applying, and questioning what we learned through our research. I tell you the truth our predecessors were more knowledgeable than this present generation.
They were focused; there wasn't anything that distracted them. Critical thinking matters during their time. They were able to think deeply, analyze, and apply it in real life. Books written by them at that time were out of them not AI copy-and-paste. Though they traveled miles to obtain information wasn't a big deal for them. They managed the available sources and they did it happily. Our predecessors were so vast with genuine information and they were blessed with wisdom. They were real academic and medical doctors, professors who could stand boldly to defend themselves.
In our technological world, we aren't as knowledgeable as our predecessors with massive technology now; we still aren't as wiser as those men then. There is no critical thinking, no application, no results. AI is doing everything for us. And we are very excited and comfortable with it because it's technology.
Easy access is a blessing, but not everything about it is a blessing. Technology is a blessing but let's use it appropriately. Technology is supposed to make our world a better place but it is worsening the situation.
Thank you for reading through.

Your written has beautifully analyzed the benefits and challenges of acquiring knowledge in the age of technology. Indeed, technology has made it easier for us to access information than ever before, but is it making us less thoughtful? Your article raises that important question.
Your words are realistic, especially when you say that our ancestors worked hard to acquire knowledge and thought deeply. While the technology available to today's generation is a blessing, it can also damage our thinking power if we become dependent on copy-paste or AI. However, how we use technology is entirely up to us. If we use it properly, technology can not only provide us with information, but can also enhance our thinking and analytical skills. Your article forces us to think anew about these aspects, which is truly commendable.
Easy access to knowledge has made people rather become lazy and people do not carry out research on their own to being about new ideas because it cheap to find information regarding what they may be looking for.
Yes, we are happier and well informed than our fathers, but our laziness is triple to that our our fathers.
Okayy, you took it from another dimension. When it comes to brain work, our fathers have it. They used their brain to do all the works they did and that's very far from what we have currently in this era
