This is an interesting piece. I did phonology in my year 3 and what my eyes saw as mathematical equations was shocking. That was when I learned that English has mathematics. It used to be tough but I'm happy you volunteered to help them understand the mathematical phonology. It's helpful because it would also help you, the teacher, to understand better and your students too, especially when it comes to pronunciation. Thank you for sharing this wonderful sharing piece.

I had sleepless nights in year 3. Before that time, I struggled to transcribe words and sentences. Did you do connected speech? Ahhhh! Overall, somehow, I enjoyed the course.
Thanks for stopping by.❤️
Ah, my lecture gave us sentences with big grammars for us to transcribe in the examination, some of my colleagues were sweating in the exams hall. It was God who helped us to pass that course. Phonology was interesting at the start, getting further becomes difficult.
I can totally relate to that. It took me long to finally learn the basics but I’m glad I did.
