During this festive period, all I see online are videos of families coming back home to spend the holidays together and whenever I watch any of these family videos, I get a smile on my face and I find myself wondering why we have to wait until the end of the year to do this, why we have to wait until Christmas.
And I know that it can get a bit crazy when talking about Christmas, especially to someone who has made it their lives purpose to correct people and educate them on the fact that Jesus wasn't born on the 25th of December but this post isn't even about Christmas, it's about how this one holiday gives people the time they need to reconnect with their love ones and spend quality time with them.
Funny enough, I used to be one of those guys who always wanted to lecture anyone willing to hear about the history of Christmas and how it all came about, but after I saw those videos of families spending time together, eating together, playing games and just doing all those beautiful things, I began to really value Christmas.
And this is because irrespective of whatever name or narrative we decide to give to this holiday, I don't really see how relevant that is compared to the bigger picture I'm trying to paint here.
Because when I first saw those videos, the first question I had asked myself was why couldn't we be like this all the time, but then I remembered that people have to go to work, have to make money and do other important stuff..
And that is where you appreciate the magic of Christmas or any other holiday because it's puts all of that away or at least put it on pause for some few days. So for the next few days, during the holiday, you find yourself not worrying about work because there is no work to go to. So you just find yourself just living in the moment with the people you love the most.
To me, that is why Christmas or any other holiday is special.

Festival has the power to reunite us and that's the reason we get a reunion party in the time of festival. May be it's became tradition for us and we follow it. If we can do it we try to connect with video conference.
