Most times, when we talk about sounding confident, most people only attribute it to doing good things, almost as if a person who sounds confident most times has to be a good person or something like that. Well, like I've come to find out, that isn't always the case..as a matter of fact, sounding confident has nothing to do with being good or bad, it's an entirely different thing on its own and would get the job done, regardless of if you're being good or bad.
Sounding confident in a group meeting at work with your boss could get you that promotion that you've always wanted, the same thing goes to sounding confident when telling a lie about something you clearly know nothing about.
You see, the difference between a good lie and a bad one, is how you tell it and sounding confident plays a huge role in that.
Earlier today while I was at home minding my business, I overheard a conversation someone in the next building was having with someone else. He was so loud that I could hear them clearly from that distance.
Apparently they were talking about world leaders, war, different countries and their ally and what actually drew my attention to their conversation was due to how confident this guy was sounding, almost as if he was in the same room with these world leaders when they were making certain decisions.
It got to a point where I found myself believing the things he was saying until I pulled out my phone and did a little Google search concerning some of the facts he had mentioned. As it turned out, almost everything he was saying was false and the poor guy he was telling it to just stood there, eating up everything that guy was saying like he was watching an action movie.
It wasn't until I stopped listening that I began to ask myself why I had even believed some of the things the guy had said in the first place, and that was when it hit me... It wasn't what he was saying, it was how he said it. The confidence in his voice was what made the entire story very believable.
That just goes to show you how powerful sounding confident can be. The moment you're good at that, you just might be able to make anyone believe whatever you say, at least for the time being.
I can picture the situation. I know how these things are. In my old neighborhood, this guy who argued the most and had the loudest voice was often taken as the one with the right information.
It's a general occurrence sha. You speak up most loudly and confidently, and people assume you're that way cause you know what you're saying.
It's an easy trick that I plan on making use of more often now 😂
🤣stuff always works. But no go give yourself headache. To shout no easy.
Hehe. Sometimes people believe whatever you say without checking if it's true or false. I Thu it's the power of confidence.
I guess it's because sounding confident can be so reassuring.
