Comfort One Pot Meal! Khichudi

Hellooo my Hive family! Hope you all are fine.
Today I am sharing a recipe of Khichudi.
Khichadi is North Indian dish which is very popular in all over India with different types of names. If you are too tired to cook food then this dish is for you to cook in one pot meal. We can make khichadi with vegetables or without vegetables. My favourite is Masala Khichadi with lods of veggies and a dallop of ghee. My all family members love this to have on saturday nights or in lunch paired with Mango pickle and roasted papad.


For 3 people serving

First of all we need-

INGREDIENTS

Lentils-(green moong dal, yellow mung dal, red Massor dal )-½cup mix
Rice-½cup
Ghee-2tspn
Cumin seeds-½tspn
Asofedita-½tspn
Turmeric powder-½tspn
Redchili powder-½tspn
Salt- according to the taste
Green chili-2
Ginger-½tspn
Vegetables of your wish
I have (caiflowet,carrot,pumpkin beans, potato and peas)
You can add or remove the veggies according to your choice.


Method

1.take all the lentils and rice in a bowl.

2.wash them all and soak them for 1 hour.

3.now chop all the veggies and keep aside

4.further take a Pressure cooker .

4.Heat butter

Then add cumin seeds, ginger paste, green chili and curry leaves.

5.Sprinkle some Asofedita too.

6.Now add pumpkin and all the veggies.

7.Then add turmeric powder, salt and red chili powder.

8.Then add soaked and washed lentils and rice

9.Mix all well.Then add water.

10.Give a nice mix and cover the lid. Give 3 to 4 whistle and off the flame.
Then open the lid and add coriander leaves.

11.Mix all well once more.
And transfer the masala Khichadi in a serving plate with a dallop of ghee.

Have it with Roasted papad or pickle.
