Raw Turmeric Curry for Winter!

Hello hive family! Hope all are good, healthy and hapPy.
Have you tried Fresh Turmeric Curry in winters. Not yet ! Then do try this Curry and warm your body in the winter. In Rajasthan we used to make this Turmeric Curry in winters. It is rich curry and it belongs to the royal state Rajasthan. We can eat Haldi ki sabji or turmeric curry in a small quantity as like pickle ...because it has heat properties.

So lets see how to make this Turmeric Curry.

INGREDIENTS

💫turmeric- 350gm
💫green peas-2cup
💫ghee- 300gm
💫garlic paste-1tbspn
💫onion-1cup chopped
💫ginger-½tspn (paste)
💫cumin seeds-½tspn
💫greenchili-2
💫cashew(optional)-½cup
💫Yogurt-250gm
💫Redchili powder-1tbspn
💫Coriander powder-1tbspn
💫salt- to the taste
💫coriander leaves- 1tbspn


METHOD

Note- while peeling and grating wear gloves to avoid yellow palms and nails😅

1.Take fresh turmeric & wash it well

2.peel it.

3.grate it.

4.heat ghee in a kadhai. I used Amul ghee. You can take any ghee.

5.then add grated turmeric

6.cook it in low flame until it is cooked well in ghee. The haldi will be aromatical.

9.here we have to cook haldi properly in low flame till the raw smells of haldi dissipate.

10.now take out the haldi.

11.now in that ghee add some more spoons if required, then add cuminseeds, ginger, garlic and chili paste.

12.now add chopped onions.

13.mix it and add cashew(optional). Stir it.

14.then add one chopped tomato.

15.now in a bowl take whisked curd, add coriander powder, redchili and mix all well.

16.add this curd mixture and stir continuously

17.Further add peas and cook it.

18.then add fried haldi(turmeric)

19.Mix it well and cover and cook for 8 to 10 mins in low meduim flame

20.now add some coriander leaves and serve in a bowl.

This curry can last upto 15 days. Refrigerate it and enjoy whenever you want to eat with wheat Roti, or millet roti.
