We are all equal in the eyes of God, so because someone has little fame that makes them known to the whole world doesn’t change the fact that we are still the same. The only difference between us is that everyone knows you as a celebrity while I am only known in my area as a random person, but still we are both humans.
Do I think fan behaviors are becoming excessive these days? Yes, I don’t know how some people act as if it is not the same blood that runs through their veins that runs through celebrities bodies as well, and that is why you see someone saying, “I can die when it comes to one particular celebrity matter,” meanwhile those celebrities don’t even know someone like you existed.
I have a friend whose boyfriend is an artist. I never get to meet the guy, but my friend has been sending his music to me, which I always help her to send to people to promote my friend’s boyfriend's career. On her birthday I was invited, so I went.
On getting there, my friend was inside while I was waiting for her outside, and immediately she got my message and came outside to take me inside. We got inside the event place, and I saw her boyfriend performing on a stage, which some girls were ready to strip themselves to make the guy notice them.
I asked my friend, “Is this what you are dealing with every day?” She smiled and said, “Everyone loves to be noticed by a celebrity.” Lol, says who? I replied.
“Are they not human? Or are they better than those people we see on a fail basis?” I asked angrily because I am not one of those who wants to be noticed by a celebrity because I believe they are humans just like me, and the only difference between us is just their fame. Funny enough, some of them don’t even have money just like a common person, so all they do is act rich so that people can respect them.
Last week, some actors and actresses came to shoot at my area while I was passing by; some people who were passing as well stopped to watch what those celebrities were doing, while some started acting weird just to get noticed. That day I felt like slapping some of those fans who were acting funny just to get noticed. Meanwhile, those celebrities also acted as if they didn’t see them.
I don’t blame those celebrities who behave abnormally to their fans because if the fans had behaved themselves, those celebrities wouldn’t have felt too big the way most of them do feel.
What really made me angry that day was the fact that a common guy was trying to greet a female celebrity, and she snubbed him as if he didn’t exist. Well, I blame the guy because if he had looked and passed, she wouldn’t have felt too big to exchange greetings with him. After all, I was passing as well, and nobody misbehaved like that to me just because I mind my business.
Many celebrities think they are so important that they ignore their fans, but it is because of their fans that they are famous.
